Are you doing this? I didn't when I had my second but I feel like they are much more aware now and it will help with the transition. They are both so excited to be big sisters. What did you do or are you going to do?
Were going to put together a small big brother gift for DS who is 4. Probably a coloring book, crayons and you can buy big brother/big sister awards online.
I still remember getting a big sis gift when they brought my bro home from the hospital (we're 6 years apart) I love this idea... We will def do it for my girls... Just something little, and it was nice to have new toy distractions during breast feeding etc
I'm doing this - my daughter is 5 and big enough to understand what's going on so she's getting a little box of things from me, husband and the baby at the baby shower so she doesn't feel left out. She's already got a book about being a big sister so we're getting her some activity books, snacks, a new outfit and a new toy along with a certificate that explains her new "job" as a big sister.
DD is 4. She always wants to wear my necklaces. We bought her a big sis necklace from etsy with her birthstone and baby's birthstone. It'll be a gift from her baby sibling. I wanted it to be something special that she can keep for a long time.

We got a few interactive books (magnet book, seek and find, Mickey Mouse clubhouse figurines with a book) for DD when DS was born, age 2. This time, DD is getting a tutu and DS is getting a drill, neither of which are related to being a big sibling, but they are gifts that they will both love.
I remember getting one when my brother was born (the day before my 6th birthday.) My parents got me a kids makeup kit. I'd been telling them that I wanted one, and they told me I could have one when I was big enough. So, it was a "you're a big girl now!" gift. I liked it.
We did. Our daughter is 11 and we ordered her a Living Locket bracelet that includes a "big sis" charm. We want her to feel just as special as her sibling.
We bought a Thomas and Friends bedding set to give DS at my shower, and we plan to redo his room a couple of weeks before his little sister gets here, since he's been watching us get her room ready all this time. We'll probably get him some small toys to open at the shower too.
