school

I have an associate degree in Medical Assisting and a part time job. My husband is nagging me to go back to school. The thing is we can't afford me going back to school without me working and he has no idea what to do with Jules while I'm at school. He also said we can't afford Jules or more kids if I don't get my RN. Sorry needed to vent. He doesn't even have a degree, he's smart he could go to school. Aggg....

Re: school

  • That is a VERY though one. What state are you in? I know in California, a lot of schools have day cares on their campuses. I went to a Cal State and I didn't have a child at the time but I know for sure the daycare was free or at a discounted rate. I'm not sure what you needed to qualify.

  • I think the question is whether YOU want to go back to school to get your RN... If yes, I'm sure you can figure out a way to make it work. Like tondraluv said, most colleges have daycare on site. You probably would have to take out some student loans, but you could talk to a financial advisor to see if the loans would be a worthwhile investment in the long run. If you don't want to go back to school and you are looking for more income, maybe just look into finding a full time job? Good luck. Money is a hard conversation in any relationship.
