Trisomy 18

I took the Maternit21 test at 16 weeks and came back positive for Trisomy 18. Had an amino on this past Tuesday and waiting the 10 days for results. Anyone with experience with Maternit21 false positive results? Is there any hope for my baby girl?

    So sorry you're facing this! I can't even imagine how overwhleming that news would be. You may also want to try posting on the second trimester board, as there may be more "false positives" there. There is certainly a chance for a false positive, hoping that will be the case for you!

    Tested positive?  I thought those tests were probability based?

    did you get the FISH results?  i've heard of false positives with the materniT21 before.  there are quite a few on babycenter.

    We opted not to get FISH results. I will look into babycenter. Thank you.
