Walking Dead *spoilers*

Holy shit. Rick definitely did what he had to do. Yikes.

Re: Walking Dead *spoilers*

  • I asked DH at the end how disappointed he was in the show.  He said lots.  I am sure we will find out more about Terminus next season, and they wanted us to wonder.  I am fairly certain that they are eating people.

  • What's wrong with fruits and veggies? Why people?

  • OMG it totally seems as of there is cannibalism going on. That place is creepy.

  • I logged in just so I could  post on this thread lol. SO my thoughts on the episode...

Rick and his gang say they are going to sit and watch the Terminus people to see what they are about and the next thing you know they are flying over the fence confronting them...did i miss something there? Why didnt they wait?

Did anyone else catch the powdered milk that was right outside the train car? Rick looked down at it before he got in...I wondered if that meant something. I thought it was going to mean carol was inside with judith.

I can't get past the freshly skinned (looks like anyway) human skeletons.  They would have to have a damn good and solid explanation for that before I could believe they were decent people.  Glenn and Maggie's crowd didn't look too happy either, so we don't know what happened to make them land in the train car.

AND why did they have to line up outside the train car?  They didn't make them go in one at a time, just line up in a certain way.  What was the point of that?

  • I think the flashbacks were to show how Rick has changed again this season.  He was an ass kicker, then peaceful farmer, and now given the situation, he's back to kicking ass.  It also provided a heads up about Hershel's watch and how he'd given it to Glenn.  Then Rick sees the watch hanging off the guy at Terminus.

Obviously, they are cannibals at Terminus.  I believe the candles are for the people they themselves lost as a group.  Like Rick's group said, the Terminus people were shooting at their feet and "herding" them along.  I think they'll make a plan/break for it when the Terminus people open the door.  They've been in tight situations before and made it work. Plus, all the people in the rail car are on the same team.

I'm glad the "claimers" are gone.  I don't know what happened to Beth.  I do feel like we'll still find her alive at Terminus.  I'm sure Carol and Tyrese will show up to help save the day also.

Why was the episode titled "A."?  If the group overcomes Terminus, will they stay and make it a good place for all or leave and set off to find a new home altogether?  Or set off to get Eugene to DC?

Oh yeah - I was watching bits of the marathon yesterday (between sleeping off the flu), and the 'message' that Daryl and the group heard at the beginning of the season that caused them to almost crash into the walkers (with Tyreese, Michonne, and Bob) was most definitely from Terminus.

Which makes me question again - why had they never heard about it if they were close enough to get a radio signal from them and reach them by walking just a few days from the Prison?  The Prison took in people from both Woodbury and from just 'around' - you would have thought that, at some point, someone would have mentioned a 'safe haven' so close to the prison.

Unless, of course, once you go in, you never come back out...
This is what I am thinking.

  • Lurker here, wanted to chime in on the title being A.  As they were herding Rick's group to the train car all the doors/alleys they went through were labeled with an A on the wall.  I assumed this is where the title came from.  The train car also had an A on it.

I saw the As in those places also.  I was wondering if maybe Terminus had become the groups plan A and maybe that was why.

There was that one guy who told Ty and Carol "there's a place up the tracks a bit... The kids will be safe there." I think that's what he said; I'd like to rewatch it now to see for sure. I notice he didn't say, "You will all be safe there," which I found interesting at the time and even more so now that it seems they were intending to separate Carl off. Perhaps they were deciding if he was a kid they would keep "safe" (or kill; not sure) or if he was a man they would put in the train car with the other adults? I am still very curious about that man though. How did he know about Terminus and why was he leaving? Or was he talking about something else? It definitely had holocaust overtones.
The first thing I thought when the termites referred to the train car was Band of Brothers when they opened the door, and there was dead people piled up inside.  Did anyone recognize the guy that was killed in this episode by walkers?  Was he the same guy they met on the tracks?  He looked familiar to me, but I could put my finger on it.

finished them a month ago. i do like how they pull bits and pieces from the comics but they don't go off of them entirely.

I have read up to ***comic spoilers**** the Alexandria Safe Zone. I like that there are differences between the comics and the show.

  • After talking this out with a coworker, we realized that we just assumed that the Termites kidnapped Beth to eat her because someone that read the books hinted towards a future cannibalistic group. That doesn't really make sense because people are willingly going to Terminus. It doesn't seem worth it to try to go out and kidnap a single person. Maybe someone did kidnap her, but I don't think it was the Termites.

  • Why does everyone assume that the beth abduction has anything to do with Terminus?  It could be a totally different person.

That's what I'm saying. I just kind of went along with her theory about it and now that we see the Terminus people, I don't think it was them.

I think it may have been the minister or priest from the books (haven't read but have seen some plot lines). The car that "kidnapped" her had a cross. I think he grabbed her and wasn't intending to "kidnap" her but rather rescue her from the walkers at the house. He may have covered her mouth or something to keep her from making noise and alerting the walkers, kwim? And they went back but Daryl was gone. Just a SILD guess based on a single cross, haha.

I noticed the cross too. I thought the car was associated with the morgue house. We never did find out who kept that house so immaculate.

  • I feel (and hope) that Beth has to be alive somewhere because for the gang to somehow discover she is dead sometime in the future would be too anti-climactic. If she were going to be dead, there would be more lead up to it. Being that we haven't seen or heard anything about her recently, she'll turn up alive... like Morgan and Carol both did.
