Other than like a baby bjorn does anyone have a recommendation for a baby sling that you could also breast feed in? I was on babies r us/ target but didn't see anything that stood out. Recommendations?

I was able to breastfeed in both the ergo and moby but neither are a sling, but you should be able to breastfeed in a ring sling too. Maya wraps is a pretty mainstream brand but there are lots of others.
You could breastfeed in a lot of different carriers. I find it easiest in a wrap or ring sling, but it's possible in an ergo or a tula. I think Tulas are much more comfortable though!
I didn't even know that you could nurse in a sling or wrap! Maybe the nursery/baby gear forum or attachment parenting forum would have some recommendations?
YouTube carriers and breast feeding and I'm sure you'll find answers. I watched a video yesterday about the Ergo where a woman showed different ways to carry that included to BF.

@MegK82 see if there's a BWI chapter near you or any local babywearing group that may have a lending library. even if they don't the mamas at the meetings usually bring carriers with them for people to try different ones.
yeah I understand. there are certain stores online that offer trials usually for 30 days but mostly they offer SSC as opposed to wraps. www.heavenlyhold.com is a great site and they do have two different types of ring sling trials and a ton of different carriers
My friend who has two little girls gave me this a couple weeks ago so I tested it out with my dog. I believe it is one of the ring carriers, and she said I could bf with it, too. Also I'm pretty sure my dog would let me carry her around in this if I wanted to...sorry if the picture's huge...not sure how to get it smaller.
You don't want the bjorn. I have lots of info on carrier types in my siggy link - www.becomingmamas.com/babywearing - that will help you get started researching. I'd also suggest finding a group near you so you can try before you buy!
Has anyone tried the JJ Cole agility wrap? Looks similar to the K'tan. I would like a wrap that distributes weight evenly on both shoulders and the Moby seems like too much fabric. I think the JJ Cole wrap (& K'tan) you put on like a t-shirt and don't have to actually 'wrap'. Already have an ergo but looking for something easy, breathable and light weight when the baby is tiny and it's hot out. Sounds like the K 'tan is a favorite?
