Why can't people effing call first?!?! Vent

We had a horrible night last night and DH's grandmother just showed up unannounced. I'm feeding, half naked, exhausted, and my house is a wreck!!!
Sorry, just had to vent!

I was in the bedroom and DH came running in telling me she was here. He was outside working in the yard, so kinda hard to turn her away.
It turned out ok, I guess. If is been here by myself, I wouldn't have even gotten up to see who it was.

Don't you just hate that?!
My BIL did the same thing to us this morning. I was feeding the baby in the living room & he came knocking on the door about 9 without a call or text. DH & DD were still sleeping & so I had to stop feeding & make myself presentable enough to open the door. I would have gladly turned him away but he had our 2 nieces with him & it was pouring rain. I did however take the baby to the nursery & finish feeding him after I woke DH up. I don't care if they came to see the baby, his needs come first.

My MIL did this all the time when I had my first, I stopped answering the door. When she asked where I was, I said sleeping or nursing or showering. Anything that made it hard for me to get to the door.

My MIL is doing this a lot lately. I tried being direct but she did not take it well since she seems to think that as LO's grandmother she has the right to be at my house any time she wants. She says she's there to help but the unannounced visits are more bothersome than the help she offers when she's there.

It's really rude. It's enough of an imposition to come over at all but to come unannounced is so unfair.
I'm a very private person and am always topless when I have a newborn
(Between bf, pumping and hot flashes!) so I don't want anyone aside from DH around.

Dropping by without notice is so rude regardless of whether or not there is a baby! I would go nuts since my dog would bark like crazy which wakes anyone and everyone up!

My ILs did that a couple days ago right during lunch. DH had just left to get food when they came. I didn't have the guts to say anything but when DH got home he was pissed and told them to leave. They got the message and I don't think they will be doing that again.
