How does anyone...

...actually make it 40 weeks (and some more)?!? I have 9 left and uncomfortable doesn't even begin to describe it!

I feel you. There was about a month-long window where I enjoyed it and the rest of the time, I wondered the same thing. But we've made it this far somehow, right? We just keep on going.

  • Well because you have to.  If your baby isn't coming, then you have no choice.  I was so uncomfortable by 40 weeks with my son, every morning I woke up and had no signs of labor, I cried.

  • Not sure. I'll probably cry a lot and complain and my husband will wish he never got me pregnant.

    It's a BOY

  • My last 3 weeks with my first were awful....maternity shirts started to not fit....not fun!!
  • I went to 41 weeks and was so miserable, I also had to be induced.

  • It gets a little easier to breathe when baby drops in the last few weeks, I was grateful for that.

  • Im 35 weeks today and over it, I notice how cranky I am all the time and yeah half of my already minimal maternity wadrobe no longer fits, also I can't get off our deep usually super comfy couches unassisted unless I army roll, I hope these last few weeks fly
  • You just do it. Then in a few weeks when your newborn is crying and you're tired and frustrated and you nipples and vaj are sore and bleeding you kinda wish you could stuff them back in where they were quiet and easy to feed and take care of.

    Yippee can't wait ;)

I'm currently laying on the couch crying because I am so frustrated. I feel like such a complainer and useless. Everything hurts or has hurt or will hurt. My resentment towards DH is through the roof as I watch him happily prance around the house effortlessly. I'm just gonna continue to cry, moan and wish that when I fall asleep (if that ever happens again) I'll wake up in 5 weeks with a tiny little baby.

I'm sitting in the nursery closet doing the same. Poor DH came and sat with me for awhile but I just wanted to alone. I'm a miserable mess.
  • same here I'm almost 33 weeks and am so uncomfortable at work bending over patients and getting up and down constantly sucks! I sleep so well yet I'm falling asleep at work and cramps and back are terrible. I shouldnt be counting down it makes it last longer but ya. 7. more. weeks.

I'm torn between wanting the next 6 weeks to fly (due to my high risk status they will start to bug me to induce around then) and for it to slow down as she is still breech and I really need her to turn!! Also while my baby shower was amazing I know feel overwhelmed with everything I need to get done. I also have a serious case of needing newborn snuggles though...being a FTM I also have no idea what to expect either so it seems to make each day crawl.

  • It seems so close, but yet so far.

My maternity shirts are getting too short my lower belly is either out or I'm showing cleavage. I can't imagine what is going to fit in a few weeks.

I am going to get even more impatient. I'm only at 32 weeks and I can't wait. The only thing keeping me going is that I have too many things to still get done.

Last time around, I had to buy a few shirts in the next size up for this reason!  I'm about at that point this time too (33 weeks).

I've had two friends have babies this month.  Both of them had them at 42 weeks.

I'm afraid of this happening again (was induced halfway through 41wk). This time, doing everything in my power (as per midwives' approval) to get this baby coming out on time.

Consider me part of Team "Crying like a baby". I ended up crying in the bath last night (best place for it IMO) because I'd cleaned/tidied the entire house and was exhausted. It was also Mother's Day here yesterday, which is the first I've had to deal with without my mum or any grandmothers, so my FB feed was full of "I love my wonderful mum!" updates and that struck a nerve. I've been extra hormonal recently.

  • I went 41 weeks with DS and still had to be induced.  It was July, his due date came and went.  He was due on a Saturday and I remember being at the doctors office 2 days before and them asking me to schedule an appointment for Monday and I couldn't believe it because he was coming on Saturday, do not tell a woman she's gonna be late LOL!  So Monday rolled around and I went to my appointment, then Tuesday and Wednesday by Thursday my doctor called to schedule my induction for the following day, I got to the hospital and they sent me home, they didn't have room for me!  Talk about meltdown!!!!  I was not supposed to be leaving the hospital with an inside baby!  The following morning my doctor called me and told me to get to the hospital ASAP because they had room for me.  Those last weeks were brutal, but the low point was defintiely when the hospital didn't have room for me.
