Limping/Dragging leg

So my darling little princess has been walking since 9 months, so for a month now. She still has this slight limp, almost like she is dragging her one leg. The thing that really bothers me is this is the same leg that had a clicky hip when she was first born (it eventually went away) and her knee still clicks on that side. I am obviously going to mention it at her 12 month appointment but since thats 2 months away, I'm wondering if I should make an appointment specifically to ask about it. I am sort of hoping that its just because she started walking so early, but she also crawled strange with one knee bent up and the other bent backwards. I can't remember which was which but I am starting to think that this all might be related. Any thoughts? anyone on her have experience with something like this? Should I just wait longer since she is still a little wobbly and maybe she'll out grow it?

i should mention she doesn't seem to be in any sort of pain at all.

Re: Limping/Dragging leg

  • Nice to see you back again. I think I would make her an appointment sooner. It can't hurt to go and have them say all is good. If it is something that needs attention usually the sooner they start working on it the better.

  • I would probably make an appointment sooner too. I don't think it's because she started walking early as E has been waking since 9.5 months and has no issues like the ones you mentioned. Did C's pedi have you get the clicky hip checked out when she was a newborn?

  • The clicky hip wet away very early on like maybe three or four weeks pp. So we all assumed it was just her ligaments tightening up. The clicky knee has never seem to bothered her but now with all these things I feel it might indicate something. I think I might schedule an appointment.

  • Def make an appt! You don't have anything to lose and if it's nothing, you won't have to worry about the unknown.

  • I would make an appointment too. Congrats on an early walker.

  • thanks ladies. oddly enough she has developed a really bad diaper rash and a fever so I will likely have to call the doctor for that anyways. I will mention the walking thing as well and hopefully he won't think I am crazy. I may have to show him videos since she won't "perform" when in public.

  • I'd make an appt, too, just to be safe. And the video sounds like a good idea. I hope your little diva feels better, soon.
