I saw this posted on F14 and found it very touching. There's an organization in Texas called NICU Helping Hands that accepts wedding dress donations and creates special gowns to give to the families of babies who passed away in NICU/at the hospital. They are only located in Texas but are willing to accept donations via mail and then ship to specific NICUs nationwide if you include the hospital information with your donation. Definitely share-worthy!
Do you pay shipping or do they? Money is tight here but I would love to send them my dress!!
@Medic99 Unfortunately you would have to cover shipping, although their FAQ mentions that the shipping cost for a wedding dress is usually minimal. However, giving them your dress is considered a charitable donation and you can write it off on your taxes. In that case you would just pin a note to your gown (with your name and address) requesting a tax deductible receipt.
