(Very last-minute) Bridal Shower Ideas

My two girlfriends have been engaged for a while and decided that they are going to get married in 3 weeks.  Their families aren't extremely supportive of their marriage so I have decided that I am going to throw them a bridal shower the week before their wedding.  It's going to be small and informal but I want to make it meaningful and fun!  I have been scouring Pinterest for ideas but am wondering if there was anything in particular at your showers that you loved/held special meaning/you would replicate that I might be able to use to make their day special!

  • Maybe some cards with well wishes and messages of love/support? Especially if their families aren't supportive.

  • I'd probably stay away from pinterest. While it looks good, it takes so much time to diy, and the guests won't necessarily notice or remember all the little stuff. I always remeber the food and the company.

My sister sent out recipe cards with the invites. People brought them to the shower and she put them into a binder. I often use it since it has the best family recipes.

  • My friends and I always make this punch- it sounds gross, but it is really good.   Also, it is very strong.    It's a can of frozen pink lemonade punch, 12 oz of vodka, and a bottle of beer.  We call it panty-dropper punch and it's a staple at our parties.

Otherwise, good friends and good food is all you need for a nice time.
We've made a similar punch, only it's a whole bottle of vodka, a six pack of beer, and a bottle of champagne, then mix in a tub of powdered lemonade (like country time, etc). So yeah, it's strong. But delicious.

I think good food = good party, especially last minute when you don't have time to mess with a bunch of details that nobody will notice/remember anyway. Just get some invites out asap!

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts!

We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
  • Now I want some punch....

Good company of people that support and love them. I LOVE the receipe card idea. So cute.
