NBR: Anyone reading anything good?

I am trying to read for enjoyment before this LO comes and I am too tired/busy :). Is anyone reading anything particularly good? I just finished This Is Where I Leave You and I am almost through The Maze Runner. I would recommend either if you like fiction.

  • Ugh I'm sorry to say I'm not at the moment. I generally read a lot, but the two classes that I'm currently taking are kicking my ass, and right now it's all I can do to make it through the Congressional Research Service papers, national strategies, and studies that I'm required to read each week. When these two classes end (tomorrow, thank god), I plan to (1), finish the book that I started 2 months ago, and (2), pick up a new book based on some suggestions on this thread :)
  • I am almost done with The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and it is freaking amazing.

  • Just finished the invention of wings by sue monk kidd for a book club. It was a pretty quick read.
  • @wil08- I read that and loved it as well! I think I heard it maybe a movie?!

I'm stuck reading some stupid social issues for my Social Science Senior Seminar.
I'll be able to read again after this class.  It's my FINAL ONE!!!!!!!!

There's just SO much reading and SO much writing.

Congrats on being almost done!!! I have 6 more classes left.. I'm nervous about doing them once the baby comes, but I know it'll be worth it.
  • A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams is really good.... she has another one coming out called The Secret Life of Violet Grant I can't wait to get my hands on

  • I just recently finished the Maze Runner trilogy. I blew through it all in about 4 days because I suck at putting books down. It was a good series and should make a great movie. On a related note, I got DH to sit down and watch the second Hunger Games movie with me last night and he loved it. I need to find a new series to get sucked into. I have a sample of Divergent on my nook, and I might read through those, but the reviews of the third book aren't so hot.

I went through all of the Ender's Game books starting with my induction last time and it was the best decision. That kept me occupied through so many hours and hours of nursing in the first months. I need to save up a long series to read when the next one comes.

  • I've been reading the divergent series, just started the third book. I downloaded he maze runner too but haven't started it yet. I've also heard good things about gone girl. That's next on my list.
  • I am finishing book 3 of Divergent, and about to start Maze Runner

Hellll yes. I didn't like the third tho :(
  • Hm, that's what I'm worried about. I don't want to get all in to it just to be let down by the ending.

  • Just finished This Is Where I Leave You and Wild: From lost to found on the pacific crest trail. Both were so good! I could put this is where I leave you down. I'm reading Tell The Wolves I'm Home as it's okay so far, I don't love the writing as much, but it's not bad.
