6. GTKY:  What do you like to do after babies are asleep for the night and you finally have a moment alone?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mommy tip of the week: Wrap a rubber band around the neck of your soap dispenser a few times. Its will prevent LOs from pumping out too much and making a mess on the counter!

I want to get better at tandem nursing. I feel like my posture is awful and is gonna cause lots of back pain soon!
    4. EBF
    5. How do I know how much I should pump for each feeding for when boys start daycare in three weeks (weighted feedings the only way or do they just get what I pump the day before?)?
    6. I usually go to bed when they do otherwise I'm on FB, Pinterest or words with friends on my phone.

  • 1. How old are your LOs: about 2.5 years

    2. Short term/ Long term goals: none anymore

    3. Accomplishments / Struggles: i think they have officially weaned.  bittersweet but feels like the right thing now

    4. EBF, EPing, Supplementing?: EBF the whole time (well plus food at 6 months :)

    5. Any questions this week?:

    6. GTKY:  What do you like to do after babies are asleep for the night and you finally have a moment alone?
  • My 1st check in!
    1. How old are your LOs: 4 months 1 week!

    2. Short term/ Long term goals: 6 months/ 1 or 1 1/2 years.

    3. Accomplishments / Struggles: The only "struggle" I have right now is when I'm tandem nursing (which I only do in the morning and right before bed) they get so distracted with each other and looking at me that they only eat for 5-10 mins. Sometimes I end up finishing feeding them solo after attempting tandem. I don't mind so much cause they're just too dang cute when they stare up at me!

    4. EBF, EPing, Supplementing?: EBF

    5. Any questions this week?: When did everyone start their babies on rice cereal. My pediatrician said anytime between 4-6 months but only when we are ready.. Not sure when that is!

    6. GTKY: What do you like to do after babies are asleep for the night and you finally have a moment alone? Usually on my computer: blogging, fb reading other mommy blogs, or Netflix! I keep telling myself to go to bed earlier but get too caught up on the computer!

  • 1. How old are your LOs: 17.5 weeks in utero.

    2. Short term/ Long term goals: Not formulated yet. Would love to say goal is for one year, but want to make smaller goals and also not be hard on myself if can't meet goals.

    3. Accomplishments / Struggles: still in learning phase

    4. EBF, EPing, Supplementing?: Would like to breast feed and later on add some pumping for back-up supply, so DH can do a night feed

    5. Any questions this week?: Trying to figure out which pump to order from my insurance company when the time comes. Any recommendations would be most appreciated!

    6. GTKY:  We'll see, but probably have a beer on couch with DH!

    1. How old are your LOs:

     5 months

     2. Short term/ Long term goals:

We're nearing the 6 month mark. Next goal was one year, but maybe I should make a mini goal of 9 months.

     3. Accomplishments / Struggles:

Accomplishments: we are on our way home, but I think we are going to survive a 9 hour road trip to Nashville and back. I was really worried about not having enough milk for E. I've been working on getting my supply up, but the last 3 weeks they've been drinking 9-14 oz more than what I've produced. I brought 16 oz of frozen milk plus 8 oz from the fridge. I have 3 pumps with me: a hand pump, Medela symphony for the hotels and a Hygeia for the car. I don't know if it's the expensive fenugreek I bought at Whole Foods because I forgot my vitamins and supplements, but I've not had any milk production issues and have been carting around all this milk with us. Fortunately all our hotels have had a refrigerator and microwave.

Struggles:after reducing his average nursing session from 45 min to 20, H is starting to take longer again. This whole BF experience would be so much more enjoyable if this kid would just finish in 10- 15 minutes like all these efficient drinkers I hear about.

     4. EBF, EPing, Supplementing?:

    EBF - H
    EP - E

     5. Any questions this week?: no

     6. GTKY: What do you like to do after babies are asleep for the night and you finally have a moment alone? We're still working on a routine, but usually by the time they are both down, I just pump (with a glass of wine) and go to bed.
