Angelversary (ticker and rainbow)

Today is Alice's first angelversary. I still have a hard time believing a whole year has passed. It's been a year since I held her in my arms and whispered how much I loved her. A whole year since my heart shattered.
We went to the cemetery and left polished rocks on her headstone (Jewish tradition, people leave a stone or rock on the headstone when they visit). Because of the cemetery and tradition we didn't leave anything else at her grave, but I did leave a small dragonfly "garden ornament".
We took Eli to meet his big sister and we plan to have a cupcake in her honor tonight. And we lit the yahrzeit memorial candle (it's a candle that burns for 24hrs, another Jewish tradition).
Today has been sad, but not as hard as I was anticipating.
