Today was Elijah's due date and I made it through (well almost...1 more hour to go). A part of me feels like if we wouldn't have lost him, he still wouldn't have come on this day. During the time I got to carry him, I felt like he was a silly little boy...even a little stubborn. I feel like he would have made his mommy wait a few more days or even a few more weeks before making his arrival.
Anyways...his dad and I went to his grave today. We tied a ballon to his flowers and each released one with kisses to heaven. I miss him. I noticed today for the first time there is another baby angel buried beside him...a little girl. Although I believe my baby is in heaven, I like to think they might be friends there.
(((((BIG HUGS))))) for getting through your EDD. Also, I too believe my little girl is in heaven, but like to think she is making friends with the other angel babies at the cemetery.
That is such a sweet thought- to imagine our sweet babies bouncing and playing with other babies I'm so glad you were able to remember Elijah in such a beautiful way. Lots of thoughts to you for comfort and continued healing.

This sounds like a beautiful well to commemorate Elijah's EDD. We have friends who also had to say goodbye to their little one within the last six months and I think of our little ones playing together in heaven as well. It's a comforting thought to me to know that they are not alone even if they are without us.
My grandmother passed away shortly after losing Timothy. I like to think she's taking care of him. Plus she LOVED babies, so I'm sure she loves it. Which also gives me comfort.
