    Hey Girls!

As always, my thoughts are with those going through a difficult time. xoxo

@LittleLady77 - wow!!! Best of luck on Thursday!!! Can't wait to hear your update!!
@jalara48‌ - so glad you are enjoying the moment!! Huge congrats to you and your husband!
@BeckyP005‌ - omg so exciting that you are getting started!! Wishing you lots and lots of luck for a successful cycle!
@lincoln79‌ - I'm so glad your maternity leave is the same as any other! You're the one who will need to adapt to life with a newborn, so it is absolutely the same. It's so important for your family to have the time to bond and get on some kind of schedule before you go to work. I'm so glad it is all going to work out.

Afm- I started Lupron Friday, our donors retrieval is the week of 4/14, which makes our transfer sometime around Easter.
    This still doesn't feel real.

Qotw- omg I love pancakes with butter and maple syrup!!! I only indulge and have them a couple times a year, usually when my dad and I go out for breakfast. These days, it's a protein shake every morning - it's almost bathing suit season!!!

  • I'm sorry I've missed the last few check-ins. I've been lurking, but the internet here is touch-n-go so I haven't posted much. PAIF Response**** I've been in the hospital for over a week now. I originally had severe swelling which no cause can be found for. The swelling is gradually going down, but now my BP has been elevated since Thursday and I'm spilling protein in my urine. Those are signs of preeclampsia except that 19 weeks is too early to have it. My body is just freaking out. Also, last week I had an u/s and my girl is behind in growth. The dr freaked me out and had my blood sent for Mat21, but after posting on the Multiples board I feel a little better. Every dr and nurse wants to give me the worst case scenario and it's overwhelming.

  • Hi ladies!

DP - Thinking of you always and I hope they get to the bottom of everything soon. *hug*

    PAIF Response *******************************

We had our anatomy scan last week and everything (that the sonographer could see, at least) looked great! Sammy wouldn't show an area near her heart and lungs but we will be going back in a month to check it out. And my OB isn't worried in the slightest. I still can't believe I've made it this far and I'm grateful every single day - actually, every single MOMENT - that I can say this is where I'm at. I'm still scared that this will all be taken away in an instant. In other PAIF news, we have almost finished our nursery and I applied  a very special vinyl decal above her crib. I posted a photo of it on my blog if you click the link in my siggy, you can check it out. I won't post the photo here because I know that kind of thing can be hard to see if you're still struggling. I pray every night for those of you who are still struggling.  *hug*

QOTW: Once and a while I crave pancakes, but I have a gluten intolerance so I either have to go find a place that serves GF pankcakes, or make them myself. It's a treat when I'm at a restaurant who serves GF pancakes! :) Okay now I want some!

    Check in: Warning: BFP Mentioned

We have our first U/S scheduled for April 7th! We also have an EDD of Nov 23rd. This is the third time we've had an EDD in November...so I'm really hoping that things work out. I'm tired of being sad over the holidays thinking about what should have been. We had 3 beta draws last week and everything looked fantastic. The numbers didn't quite double from the first to the second, so our carrier asked for a third draw and they doubled beautifully. I think once we get past our loss milestones (about 8-9 weeks), I will be able to relax just a little bit more....although surprisingly I'm much more calm about this pregnancy that I thought I would be. I think I'm still in complete and utter shock that this worked with the first IVF transfer...up until this point, pretty much everything that could go wrong has and I think both DH and I expected to see a BFN with the first transfer.

QOTW: I love sweet breakfasts but hardly ever make them for myself. French toast with syrup, powdered sugar, and raspberries is probably my ultimate favorite breakfast. YUM!

    TTC since April 2010

  • Check-In: We're waiting for our IVF in Mid-May. I feel like we've been waiting an age already, and we've got more than double that time to wait.

QOTW: There's an ice cream place fairly close to where we live that has a thing called a Canadian Breakfast. I have no idea how accurate the name is, but it's basically a pancake topped with bacon, then with another pancake, and then all smothered with maple syrup. Yummy!

  • I've been doing at-home pregnancy tests since Friday, and they are all coming back negative. AF has also arrived, but my doctor is adamant that unless I get a BFN on the bloodwork this Friday, I may still be pregnant. I'm not convinced and feeling like utter shit to be honest.

QOTW: Sliced haggis, sliced black pudding, sausages, hash browns and tattie scones. Fattening as you like, but lovely on the taste buds.

  • Check-In: DW and I are just waiting now until Surro's AF arrives so we can get ready for our next cycle. I'm okay about it just now, mainly because of things going on with XH, but DW is really upset, more than she has been before.

QOTW: There's this company called Dorset Cereals that make the best chocolate granola. It's AMAZING, but really expensive since I have to ship it from England to Norway.

Donor has a scan this Thursday then she will start her Lupron! It was really weird paying for someone else's meds. Although much cheaper than it ever was with my OEIVF since I was always on max stims! Our ER is around 4/16 and I am guessing our FET will be around May 18th.

QOTW:  My favorite is a good southern country breakfast.... eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy.  I never get to eat this though :) always on a diet!  So my usual breakfast is a protein shake, yogurt or an english muffin.  As long as their is coffee I am good :)

My anatomy scan was last Thursday and Gracie was measuring on track and everything looked good so far. I have her cardiac echo in two weeks and then will have growth ultrasounds monthly since I'm diabetic and on insulin during pregnancy.

QOTD: my absolute favorite is peanut butter French toast from a specific restuarant. It is amazing!

8/2011: Diagnosed with ovarian cancer, ovaries and tubes removed

    12/2011: Finished chemo

    5/2013: Cleared for DE IVF

    11/13: DEgg IVF#1

    8/5/14: Grace was born!

  • @BeckyP005‌ I'm doing okay, no problems so far so I can't complain. I'm just ready to meet these guys :)

  • @DoublePortion - I had NO idea you were having these struggles! I will keep you and your babies in my thoughts.

    PAIF'er here.

I just did a separate post of the letter I finally wrote to my donor! Took me for'evs! Anyhow, other than that, we also had the medical geneticist appointment last Friday. It was really awesome. I think we both left feeling much better about lil'mamaz diagnosis (Trisomy X)and we have a good plan for how to handle things after she's born. I definitely don't feel as scared which is nice.

Otherwise, just plugging away and things are going well enough! Definitely showing more, but still eating pretty healthy, getting exercise and sleeping ok most nights. I'm realizing i should get moving on some things, so I did sign us up for a hospital tour in late June (it felt so risky!), and reached out to a recommended doula. Big steps but I also don't want to wait until 36 weeks to do these things!

QOTW: I LOVE me some biscuits and gravy with poached eggs, as well as (mexican) chilaquiles! I've never been much for sweet breakfast, however, I love when I'm with a group and we get a pancake to share in the middle of the table so I can have a couple bites :).
    Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

It's been a long road to here...

  • There's been so much going on here since I've been sort of MIA.  Congrats to many and hugs to those who need them!  I'm always thinking of my bump friends while I'm away.

I'm 6dp5dt today.  I've been feeling very dizzy and trying to drink lots of water.  I'm getting on/off twinges on the left side of my ute where they placed the 2 embies.  I'm hoping these are all good signs.  After my negative test this morning, I had my DH hide all the rest!

QOTW:  I love a nice fluffy ham and cheese omelette :)

Hello - hope everyone's having a good week!  We made the decision to use Embryo Adoption Services of Cedar Park and cycle at our local clinic.  We got the paperwork in the mail Saturday and I'm trying to get it mailed back out Monday so we can get started ASAP.  I like to do anything I can to make it feel like we're making progress, so I'll probably jump into the photo book we'll need once the paperwork is out.

Favorite breakfast is pancakes and hashbrowns.  More realistically it's cereal with fruit and almond milk.
Congratulations on the decision! How are you feeling now that you know the next step?
I'm feeling good.  I'm wavering between skepticism and that scary place of hopefulness that we might really have a baby someday.  I'm trying to focus there, but am still worried that we'll be just as broke and baby-less in a year.  You all know how that feels.  But I like to stay busy!  I think I'll be good until we're waiting for matching and there isn't an endless to-do list to keep me occupied.

  • I wish I could just steal @jalara48's post a couple posts up. She did such a comprehensive and thoughtful job of engaging with people's posts.
I'm thinking about you all and always read all the check-ins, even though I don't mention everyone.
@doubleportion-- I'm thinking about you. It sounds like a very scary thing to go through and I hope it all works out!.

    **PAIF Update**
We are 8w6d with twins. Our next ultrasound is supposed to be today or tomorrow (depending on how @Manada is feeling; she's been sick for almost a week now). It's been two weeks since we have seen the Rockies (our nickname for the embroyos/fetuses/babies, since "Eye of the Tiger was our IVF theme song). I hope they're both still measuring on track. I'm feeling anxious about it.

QOTW: Thanks @2mamazinseattle for mentioning biscuits and gravy! Biscuits and gravy with eggs is my very favorite breakfast. I don't get it often since it's not a Canadian thing. Other than that, I love bacon. I also really enjoy refried beans and scrambled eggs, which I had this week at home. I'm definitely more of a savory breakfast person than a sweet breakfast person, but french toast is my sweet breakfast of choice.
    ****loss discussed*****

We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

    Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.

    Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response

    IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
    BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
    1st ultrasound (3/6  6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.

***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***

    FET #1 December 2014
Intralipid infusion on Dec 10. Transfer of 1 day 3 nine-cell embryo into my uterus on Dec. 19. (acupuncture immediately before and after)
    BFP on Dec. 27; Beta 1 Jan 2 (14dp3dt): 665, Beta 2 Jan 4 (16dp3dt): 1859, Beta 3 Jan 6 (18dp3dt): 4449, Beta 4 Jan 10 (22dp3dt): 12,251.

  •  I haven't updated for a few weeks. They have been very, very difficult. As some of you may remember, my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about 5 weeks ago. Sadly, the cancer progressed very rapidly and my dad passed on Tuesday. It still doesn't feel real to me but I thank God every day for Caleb because he is helping me through this. My dad was so happy that we were finally able to have our baby and he lit up every time he saw him.
  • So sorry @jms1374‌ ((hugs))

:::waves::: hey sorry been MIA! Just in a holding pattern and no news. Just been trying to live life as normal as possible until we try again, which financially things look good to go. But.
