We are finally putting our house on the market so I get to channel all my nesting energy into getting it ready to show. I usually dread cleaning, but the end goal is totally worth it!
Besides that lol, my ex SIL is in town and I'm excited to see her! Not something you usually hear but she's very nice and we've kept in contact since the divorce.
I think I get to meet my best friends new boyfriend tonight. I don't even meet her boyfriends if she isn't pretty sure about them, and he sounds like a good guy. FX!
@supgabs : YAYAYTAYAYAYAYYY! I'm so happy for you. I hope that every day you take a minute to realize what a tough broad you are and how strong you're being. And it got you this awesome little dude!
While there is zero actual sunshine in Ohio and it's supposed to snow this afternoon (do I have to order spring from Amazon or something?), our shower is this afternoon and I'm super pumped. My BIL, who I adore, is coming in! He hasn't been here in two years. And my redneck FIL will be uncomfortably surrounded by gay men at our shower, which promises to be amusing.
@supgabs this made me smile so big! Yay!
My friends who can't come to the shower my mom is throwing are having a small shower for me today. I'm just excited to see all of them!
T-minus 4 hours until my family & friends shower and I'm so excited! So many people are coming and can't wait to meet the twins, it's really cool. My BFF is driving 5 hours just to come
I made a few things for it...verrrry Pinteresty lol
1) babies stats board - so people don't ask me a hundred times when they're due, how big they are, etc 2) "sign the onesies" board - guests sign the onesies with their names instead of a guest book (not pictured, sign that says "We Are Loved") 3) baby box - it'll have diapers in it and guests can sign inspirational or funny things on the outside like "hang in there mama" or "it's only temporary" so those late night changings are a little easier
I'm going to my cousin's bridal shower this afternoon and bachelorette party tonight. Nothing like being the 6 month pregnant sober woman at the bachelorette party.
This was me two weeks ago. I went in with a positive attitude and ended up having fun I left early when everyone started getting tipsy
Ds took his first steps (I already posted this in the aw board but I will just keep saying it bc I'm so happy), his bday is next week and he keeps kissing my belly whenever he gets the chance. I doubt he understands what I mean when I tell him his sister is in there but it sure is cute. I'm also about to take a nap or pretend to nap while h is watching ds and later tonight we are going out to dinner with friends. I am excited first because of food and second bc I feel like I haven't been out to socialize in forever. I have just been so tired the last couple of weeks.
This morning
we went to Target and got a bunch of stuff we need, including finally
finding curtains for the nursery that will make it more boy and less
girl. Then we started to clear out our basement and it looks awesome
already! We had three years of giant empty cardboard boxes from all
kinds of crazy things, and it looks better with just those gone! Next
we'll pull out the donateable stuff and get rid of that. Sooooo nice
and clear/clean!
ETA: Just took a bubble bath with C. We put the radio on, and every time C would decide she liked a song enough to waggle her little bum back and forth and dance in the tub, Charlie would go nutty with movement in my stomach, apparently they have the same taste in music! So neat. Also drove home, as I was looking from my alien belly to my daughter, that I have two children now...holy crap!
I love French fries. All types, all brands, white or sweet, it doesn't matter. They are one of my favoritest foods. My absolute favorite are the crinkle cut fake potato ones that are baked super crunchy. I just ate half a bag of them for dinner. I'm a happy girl now.
June '14 September Siggy challenge- Favorite things about fall
I went shopping today and actually committed to buying a few things. I'm the person who carries something around the store with me for an hour until I talk myself out of it. But not today! I actually came home with some new (desperately needed) maternity pants, a few tops, and even some cute jewelry. I'm very excited about this.
We made some house progress today and should be able to finish up a couple of projects tomorrow. Our bedroom is almost finished being painted and I just have to do some touch ups on a couple of furniture pieces I'm refinishing. Feels good to be crossing some items off the to-do list!

My husband got the nursery 90% cleaned out! There's only a couch left to move that he needs help moving. Next weekend, my mom and I are cleaning and setting up the crib.
Just got back from doing skin to skin with Colton for the first time. He was on the jaundice lights today so I only got to do it for a half hour or so but..so many ~~emotions~~ haha. We turned the lights down low and he opened his eyes and we just stared at each other while daddy read books to us. I can't even describe how amazingly awesome it was. My SO will hopefully get to do skin to skin with him tomorrow morning.
ALSO for those of you who remember Colton was diagnosed with a right multicystic dysplastic kidney at our 20 week scan. Well he had an u/s on his kidneys yesterday and the doctor believes that his bad kidney may be somewhat functional with surgery down the road so fingers crossed
@supgabs how fantastic that you got some Colton cuddles today.
I live in Asia and I finally found spaghetti squash at a market. I wont say how ridiculously expensive it was, but it will be worth every penny! This is my absolute favorite veggie. I was literally dancing in the store.
My son is home from his spring break vacation!! I missed his lil face while he was gone. When he seen me he said you had the baby mom you don't look fat any more lol!! Gota love the babies! Besides that I'm moving in 2 weeks which mean I can finally focus on getting ready for my lil kae kae and I found a dress for my baby shower that I love that was only 8 bucks!! Winning!!
Our shower yesterday was wonderful. After 2.5 years of wishing and praying for these kiddos and going to many, many showers for others it was finally my turn and everyone was so excited! All my family and close friends came and it was such a great day!
The girls were incredibly spoiled though! My mom and friend are coming over to help me sort everything because right now my sunroom looks like Babies R Us threw up a pink explosion in there and since I'm a newbie I don't know what half the stuff is for.
The most interesting part was looking at a gift and not having any idea what it was lol.
"Oh cool, this is a ah... a thing where you put the... other things...?" and people would say "It's a pre-measured formula container". Oh right, that
Today I feel like I've been run over by a truck, but it was worth it!
Aaaaand just for funsies she went back and deleted everything she ever posted. (you can see if you click on her name and look at her discussions and comments.) This should keep me entertained until brunch today. It's gonna be a good day!
My parents are going to look at and possibly purchase a fifth wheeler tomorrow, which means I might be able to camp in that instead of a tent in August!
Am I crazy? Camping with a 6 week old?! I'm so freaking excited about it!

She came in my room this AM to snuggle me and rubbed my belly and talked to her sister for 20 minutes! Sweetest ever

Really gooberish but I don't care haha!
@emilyh107 - Happy Birthday!
@supgabs - if I could hit love it more I would! Great news!
I feel like jelly. Totally amazing.
