Trying to Get Pregnant

Still Trying after almost 3 years - Update

Hey everyone.

It's been awhile since I've been on here. Guess since 2012....
Hard to believe my SO and I have been trying for so long, with little to no success.  I had a miscarry in November of  2012 the day after I got A BFP. Not even sure how far along I was. I don't have regular periods, but I don't have PCOS I've been tested.

My SO and I have been going to the Ottawa Fertility Clinic now since February which I am so happy about. After test after test. Everything came back good. I have lots of egg sacs, my tubes are open, husbands sperm is good. I am just not releasing eggs.

My doctor put me on Provera 10MG for 10 days.  I am on day 3 now. Once my period comes I am to start Clomid on day 3 to 7 of  my cycle.

Has anyone have any success with this? I have read so much about Clomid even before I realized I would have trouble myself.

Thanks!
Jen

Update -

Let me start by saying, thank you all for the welcomes and kind words. :) I am really happy to be around so many people that care and understand what I am going through.

Well its been almost 2 weeks since my first post.  I have finished the provera yay!! And AF showed her ugly head yesterday. So which means I start Clomid tomorrow!! Never thought I would be so happy to see her.  I have 3 appointments booked in at the Ottawa fertility clinic, April 23, may 2 and may 6.  I am really excited to see how this goes, also a bit nervous.  I was so shocked when I picked up the clomid pills, they didn't cost me much at all :)  Less then 10 bucks! I was told they would be 100 or so. Imagine my surprise! :) So I take them day 3 to 7 of my cycle.

Today I realized I am in the worst bad mood ever, usually don't have bad mood swings during my period only a week before so not sure what is up.
Oh well, It will pass. :P

I don't have any experience, but I'm sorry for your past loss and I wish you nothing but luck with the Provera!
  • I have no personal experience with Clomid. I have seen many on the board use it and go on to get they're BFP. I wanted to send some T&Ps your way :)
  • No advice, but I'm sorry it's taking so long for you. I hope it happens soon!

  • Sorry for your loss and that it's taking a long time to conceive. Check out the newbie blog which tells you more about clomid. It's a serious drug that needs to be monitored, like pinto said. Good luck!
  • Good luck on your new leg of the journey. You may want to check out TTTC as more people there may have some experience to share with you.

  • I live in Ottawa! The Ottawa Fertility Clinic is supposed to have a great reputation so it sounds like you are in really good hands there. Welcome and good luck!
  • I'm sorry for your loss and your difficult time ttc. Good news that everyone's tools are healthy though :) fx the provera and clomid bring you a BFP that sticks!

  • I'm sorry, I know this journey can be so difficult. As others mentioned, there are lots of success stories from women using Clomid, please just make sure you will be properly monitored while taking it (CD3 b/w and u/s, mid cycle monitoring to see how you're responding, etc) as it is a serious drug. I would also suggest checking out the TTTC board, there is a lot of knowledge, experience and support over there too. Good luck!!

  • I'm really sorry to hear that your journey hasn't been an easy one at all. I'm hoping that Clomid is the answer for you and it brings you a speedy BFP.
  • No experience with the meds here but wanted to wish you lots of luck and support!

Trying to have baby #1 since April 2013

DH SA March,May 2014 - Low motility and shape issues. On vitamins per RE to help

Me testing April 3, 2014 - FSH and LH good, HSG showed blocked right tube

April 29, 2014 - First RE appt., right tube needs to be removed and possibly left also if

it's bad too. RE suggests going straight to IVF

June 4, 2014 - LAP/HSC and unexpected endo. removed but tubes got to stay!

June 13, 2014 - Post-Op appointment. We decide where to go next since main issue
