25 weeks - baby the size of Zucchini?

Last week it was a grapefruit & the week before a pomegranate. I don't get how is a Zucchini bigger than a grapefruit?

Has anyone found a good reference for how big the baby is?

(I know it also says the length & weight, but would be nice to have a good comparison)

Generally, comparing your baby to a food is not going to give you a reasonable idea.  Babies aren't shaped like fruit or vegetables so it's really misleading.

I just go by weight/length measurements.

and my calendar says baby is the size of a

  • I was wondering about those, too!  And the week I was a papaya?  The ones I saw in the produce section of the grocery store were giants at almost 2 feet long.  This week's cantaloupe was kind of fun, because that one looked closer to the bump I have.

  • Next week a cauliflower? Haha! Cauliflower. One week it was a bell pepper...haha I never pay much attention because it's silliness. BUT before we knew there was a lil GIRL in my belly, we liked to know weekly because that's how we referred to her. We hated saying "it" or "the baby", we had nicknames...fun! In fact, when we found out, she was the size of a Lima bean so that was her name. Then lil Lima bean. Then LL bean. Then LL. Aaaaaand then we came up with her middle name: Elle. Just because of the LL. We still call her bean sometimes actually...it's silly but it makes me happy...amidst all the puking :)
