Thanks! I forgot about it after the fffc thread and now that it has it's own thread I had to download it! I'm only at 2936 but gimme a few hours to get good
I feel like this is like Candy Crush.. I've stayed away for fear it would take over my life.. But you ladies are making it hard not to check it out..
I wouldn't say this is quite as bad as candy crush. On cc you had levels to beat and felt like advancing....this is like playing the exact same level over and over. It's addicting, but it'll lose it's appeal pretty quick I think.
First try and my score was 2608 with a 256 tile. Is there any rhyme or reason to how far the tiles slide? It seems random.
The tiles slide to the end on all rows but only if there's room. It took me a while to figure this out too. I read an article on winning strategies (nerd alert! I know) and it suggested that you keep your biggest tile in the corner the whole time. Stack up tiles vertically above it so that that column cannot move. It sounds confusing but if you start doing it, it makes sense. That way, you can move the other three columns without moving that one.
I haven't won with this strategy yet, but I did get a 1024 tile with a 512 next to it & a 15,000 point score before I screwed it up.
@janneann1127 I read that same article. I've had better success not doing that, only because I tend to screw it up somehow and end up with a 2 in the corner surrounded by large tiles because I wasn't paying attention!
It took me playing for a while using that strategy to figure out how to use it to my advantage. Eventually though I do screw up and end up moving it from the corner and it all goes to shit from there.
I like to keep all my big tiles to the right, so I rarely swipe left. When I consolidate, I try to push everything right. I don't nec aim for a corner, but perhaps I'll give that a try.
I think I'm up to 16000+, but I haven't bested the 1024 and 512. Good thing I have pumping at work to do, haha.

Thank you! That helps a lot. Now I need to play some more.
I had to resurrect this thread so I can share how excited I am that I just won! Hahaha DH so does not care but I have to tell someone. Finally!!!!! If I could screen shot I would but I don't know how.
Re: 2048
Biggest Tile = 512
Eta: I just wanted to say I'm officially mad at candy crush.
I'm addicted.
DH is addicted now too.
High score: 5408
Tile: 512
