I don't think so. She keeps coming back and defending her stance and trying to explain herself. At one point she said she doesn't feel it is okay for other people's sons to see a woman breastfeeding.
@carmstr4 - I don't know, but I'm really starting to loathe that phrase. I believe these people are exaggerating. I live in one of the least conservative cities in the US and never once have I seen a woman flash her entire boob while breastfeeding. I have even attended The Big Latch On event the past 2 years and still didn't see that occur. Though if I did, big fucking deal. If a woman feels comfortable flashing her boob for a split second while trying to get her baby to latch more power to her. And this nonsense about shielding impressionable children from the evil breast. Ridiculous.
Wow. Just wow. I struggled with BFing my boys... It was awful. There was no way I could use a cover because I needed to see what was going on...!! Granted, had it worked out and I became more efficient, sure maybe then I could... But in the first few weeks (both times lasted under a month sadly) it wouldn't and couldn't happen... The most "public" I nursed was my car, because I knew I was way flashing more boob than anyone needed to see.. But, I did that more for my own privacy... Wow.. It's a shame people feel this way... I don't understand how you can't differentiate a breast that is feeding a baby verses a breast being exposed seductively.
I never used a cover....ever, anywhere. I don't 'whip them out' either. Geez, that woman needs to get a grip. Boobs aren't evil.
Breastfeeding is something special and I will always cherish that time I spent with my son (even though it ended sooner than I wanted). No woman should ever be ashamed of it.
I lost it at "aren't you afraid of spraying someone." I got a mental image of a woman spraying milk like a sprinkler! Hahaha.
I'm still reading through the whole thread. I just got to this response to the spraying question.... "I'm going to work on my squirting distance in order to avoid getting out of bed for night feedings."
DH wants to set up army men on the edge of the crib and use my boobs like squirt guns to knock them down. I'll let you guys know how that works out.
My boobs could totally have done this during let down. My kid would unlatch sometimes and milk would shoot out several feet before I got the situation contained. I learned to anticipate that quickly!
Good to know...I won't be telling DH about this lol. I told him that he has unrealistic expectations :-)

Not unrealistic!!! Lol.. It does happen!! I had the same happen as empire.. Baby up latches, milk shoots my husband in the face LOL
I WANT my son to see me and other women breastfeeding! I will do it in front of him on purpose. I want him to grow up knowing that that's what breasts are for. Sexual appreciation is a BONUS, not their primary purpose. I guess that makes me a terrible parent, but I don't give a shit.
