  • I know, I know. But if I decide to introduce it, I think this may be the way to go.

  • I did this with oatmeal with my first. Instant rice cereal tastes disgusting

But the infant stuff has a ton of added nutrients. Iron, omega 3, etc.

Hmmm ... I shall have to do some research.

  • Omagah BOOTS, if you don't want to read yet another post about rice cereal then don't open it!!! Jesus everyone, stop trying to dictate what other people post about.
  • @Loolaide‌ Thanks for posting the link.

  • I've used the coffee grinder to do this with grains. For oats, a food processor works fine.
Good to know! I would tihnk they would get enough nutrients with it since you still mix it with formula/breast milk. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here ...

  • Especially formula (as far as the iron goes anyway) I would think, although it's not a huge amount.
Right ... and Alex is 100% FF now, and has been for a while since she decided to stop latching, I then tried EPing, but dried up. It's been like almost 2 months now I think. So calories wise, it'd just help keeping her full. Cause she eats a lot, just super frequently during the day. She pretty much refuses to each more than 4oz at once and then is hungry anywhere from 1.5-3 hours later. Nighttime she does well though. So I guess its an okay trade off. Obviously, before I do anything I'll talk to our pedi at the 4 month appointment. I know she's had weight gain issues in the past, so he might have us start her on it anyway, depending on her growth.
