Here is a video of a little boy finding out he is getting another sister. While I can excuse a kid, I cannot believe the things the dad says ON CAMERA about how he was disappointed and didn't want another girl.

How horrible.

When my MIL first held my son 12 hours after he was delivered, she told him that she wished he had been a girl. SIL2 was quick enough to remove MIL before I killed her but no one, I mean no one, will ever repeat that incident to DS1. I'm so happy it is not on camera, and if it were, it'd be deleted so fast.

Really though, why would anyone keep that kind of footage?

The dad says he had the same reaction. So the parents knew and did this cake thing for the sibling reveal. That boy had such a strong reaction that I'm sure they knew how he would feel. Why play it up like that, "oh what do you think the next baby will be?" knowing he would be upset? I'd want to leave the house too, kid.

Poor kiddo!! Two of my sisters have 3 girls and 1 boy, I couldn't imagine them doing this to my nephews! The mom was there also, why didn't she step in?!

That poor baby girl! You can forgive the little boy because he is a kid and I think his parents kind of set it up expecting a big reaction, but I can't believe the comments the dad made! I would be so hurt if I watched something like that about me.

That's a messed up. He should have stopped recording right away. I hope the dad sat his son down and spoke with him about having another healthy sister will be a blessing and that him being the only boy makes him very special to their family.

Am i the only one who found it hilarious? Of course a little boy doesn't want 3 sisters! He wants a boy buddy. He was a bit over the top though and the parents should have stopped filming and consoled him once they realised he was seriously pissed off.

Oh and yes, the dad was a jerk. Why did he have to voice his disappointment at having another girl? His son is a little boy so it's sort of expected that he says what he thinks, but dad is a grown man. Keep that shiz to yourself, douchebag - especially when your daughters are there. Anyway, his daughters are absolutely precious so he should be grateful for the chance to raise another.

I was that little girl. I watched the video from after I was born, and my brother was like, "Let me see him" with a big smile on his face. Dad was like, "It's a girl, Robbie!" He instantly started crying. "I don't want another sister! ((He had three sisters at this point already.)) I want a brother! I don't want it!!" So I was "It" for two years. TBH, my video is hilarious. And he wanted nothing to do with little brother when he was born, either.

I thought it was pretty funny. KID will get over it! MH told me to turn it off because it was getting a bit obnoxious so I didn't get to see what the dad said.

Let me rephrase that. The kids reaction is funny. A bit hysterical and over played, but funny. Would I put that on the Internet for other people to see and laugh at? No way. Not cool

Dad definitely shouldn't have made those comments. I think the 3rd girl would be able to laugh at her brother's reaction but hearing her dad say those things is likely to sting.

It's interesting that dad does say at one point, "well, you should have been prepared for that disappointment!" Methinks he heard that from his wife not too long before they filmed this.

After 30 seconds of his wailing I was totally annoyed. Kid is obnoxious and the dad is a douche and the mom didn't do anything. Douches....
The girls were sweet though.

I laughed at the part where he said he didn't want the pink cake. As if he can get his parents to take it back ... and bring him a blue cake and a brother instead.

But yeah, dad's a jerk, no reason to egg the kid on line that.

I laughed so hard I was crying! I agree the kid is annoying. And I also agree that later in life that 3rd girl is gonna be a little taken aback. Should definitely wait till she's an adult to show her.

We took my DS1 to the sono to find out the gender. He wanted a sister... when the tech told us it was a boy, he shot her a nasty look. Got up and stormed out of the room, and slammed the door. lol. He is 4, and that will be a moment H and I never forget. He warmed up to the idea of having a brother in no time.

Reactions like that are fine - Kids have tantrums for all kinds of reasons. Videotaping and then posting online for the world to see is not. It can't ever be undone either. To me, this is poor parent behavior.

I can understand where that little boy was coming from and that the parents were initially taping it to document a sweet moment, but I had a few problems with this:

1. The kid's meltdown was entertaining for the first 30 seconds, and then it was just sad. 3+ minutes was a little much to keep the camera on.

2. The dad's comments pissed me off. Way to make daughter #3 feel loved already douchebag,

3. Why did they post the whole thing online? This poor baby!
