IE script problem. HALP!

At work we have Internet Explorer (yes, I realize that IE sucks but that is what I have for a web browser).  Since I have been back at work, whenever I am on The Bump I get a pop up that says that this page has a script problem.  I tried turning off all siggies but still get the "script problem" pop up.  HOW DO I STOP THIS!?!  I cannot Bump like this without going insane.  Please to help me solve this.

Re: IE script problem. HALP!

  • I have this problem on my home computer. I just back out of it and try again, then it let's me in.

  • @Estwd2 I tried that and it did not work, but thank you for the suggestion.  I can't even fucking quote people.
  • Download a better browser.

I can't download anything on my work computer.
  • Woohoo! At least I figured out how to quote people.
  • I am having the same issues on my work computer. I can't install a new browser either. It sucks.
    Sorry @peanutrach1 :(
  • I get those same messages. It's only sometimes though. What is pissing me off is that I can't add a ticker to my siggy because every time I hit the Show Source button it freezes up IE. I also can't install a new browser.

I can't save anything to mine but got Firefox to work.

Pay someone in IT to do it?

I somehow got Firefox to run on my computer.  I did not save it just clicked run.  An admin permission box popped up a few times and I just clicked "No".  Hopefully the powers that be don't come down and yell at me.
  • Thanks! I have an ultrasound next week so we may find out if there are one or two in there. ::nervous laughter::

So wait, you solved it? You don't need my super special idea? Fine then. :((
I still want it because I might get busted for using Firefox.  Please share!

If you go to Tools and then select "F12 developer tools," you'll get a menu at the bottom of your screen. From there, click on "Browser Mode" and you can select an older version of IE. I have to do this for a particular website that only works on IE9 or below. I don't know if that's a different way of doing the compatibility view trick, but it works for many crappy or old websites.
    That worked!  You are awesome.
