Another curly hair question

My daughter has curly hair, and I have no idea how do deal with it. It's thin, so it's hard to put into pigtails or anything, and she has weird cowlicks. What do I do with this craziness? Do I need to use product on my kid just to make her look presentable?

    Awwww love her ringlet curls. Z has a couple in the back but her hair isn't long enough for braids, pigtails, a pony, nothing! I do a fountain updo on her because she has the Justin Beiber front swoop of hair that makes it impossible for her to see. That's all I have until her hair is longer!

    You can use clips to hold back the bangs part or a band to keep it out of her eyes.. I trim DD's hair occasionally to avoid the mullet look. Another thing that really helps is avoiding shampoo. Shampoo turns her (and my hair) into instant frizz. Her curls are much bouncier if I just wash her hair with water.

    @LatteLady5‌ What a cutie! Her curls are a lot tighter than Scarlett's. I do use clips sometimes, but she has a tendency to yank them out and lose them. I may have to try skipping the shampoo.

    Thanks :) DD JUST started leaving the clips in her hair. She still takes the bands out though...her new favorite is to put the band over her eyes and run around until she falls or runs into the wall. lol BTW I love your DD's name. Scarlett was is on our possible future baby names list :)

    There is a weird in between time!  We tried the clips and hair bands and stuff, but mostly she looked disheveled for a year or so :)  I do still have to spray water or detangler in it daily before trying to style it.  And it helped when I realized where her part was and went with it.
