Because @Kitten80's post made me think of this and now I'm curious...
You've put LO to bed in their crib and you check the video monitor to make sure their sleeping. Suddenly you see a ghost in their room. What do you do?

Oh snap! Run for the front door!

Run out the front door, remember your baby is in that room, and run up there and grab them.
I literally think of this all.the.time. It freaks me the F out. I like to tell myself I would save my baby. But I would probs just soil myself and freeze
I would probably go to the safest thought and that my mom is just checking in And send the kids away for the night and have friends over for some ghost hunting
I inspired a clicky poll, awesome!!! . My son used to get upset in his room and refuse to go back in. I finally went in before bed one night and said I know that they may be family watching over him, but he couldn't talk to me well yet and they were scaring him. Never happened again.
If I saw it on a monitor? Take a pic, get baby, relocate baby to my room, call Ghost Hunters.
I have a deal with ghosts. They don't make themselves known to me and I don't comment on whether or not they are real.
However a similar situation is constantly on my mind. What would I do if I saw a mouse? I have panic attacks and have little to no self control when I see a mouse.
Assume Leah invited her in?
Creepy thing: our video monitor freezes the last pic. So, when we first turn it on after we lake Leah on, there is a baby on it. Then, baby disappears or relocates. It's creepy enough we do it as a party trick.
@casey78 Ours does that, too! Even though I know it does it, it still makes my heart flip when I go to check on her after I lay her down in the crib and it shows an empty crib. NOT good for anxiety. (
Edit, also - I'd go in and sit with my baby. Someone here said that they once told the presence something like: "I know you are probably family and watching over us, but you are scaring the baby, so please go..." That stuck with me and makes sense, so I'd probably say something like that.
Ghosts scare the crap out of me. I would send in the DH.
FFC: one time I was up late reading scary stories on reddit/nosleep. Marnie fell out of bed for the first time in the last 9mo or so, after we had turned out the lights.
Marnie has two closets in her bedroom. One closet contains the stairs to the attic (creepy). I just jumped up, then poked at DH until he woke up and I made him go put her back in bed.
It was an almighty thump that she made, and I wasn't risking it (sorry kid).
I pray every night for Jesus to protect my family and surround my home with his angels. So there aren't evil things in my house. The devil/demons run in the name of Jesus.
Omg this reminds me of something that happened a couple months ago...DH and I were downstairs in the basement watching a movie one night after DD had gone to bed. Her room is on the first floor, so it's essentially right above where we were sitting. Suddenly we heard footsteps walking quickly across the wood floor upstairs. DH and I looked at each other, terrified, and both booked it up the stairs. I was in front of DH and ran into her room. There was no one there and she was sleeping soundly. I made DH check every room and closet in the entire house. We were so scared. ETA there's a couple horror movies about baby monitors. There's this one Spanish movie where they see someone in their baby's room on the monitor. It's called The Baby's Room.
I pray every night for Jesus to protect my family and surround my home with his angels. So there aren't evil things in my house. The devil/demons run in the name of Jesus.
I can't tell if you're serious or not.

I'm 100% serious. I believe in ghosts/demons/angels. And I also believe God will protect me.
Two nights ago was the first night that I put A to sleep in her own crib. I had a nightmare that there was a ghost in the house who didn't want me there and I was telling him that I respected him and just wanted him to leave me alone. I woke up suddenly unable to breathe and looked towards her door (across the hall from our room) and SWEAR I saw a dark patch (shadowdy-thing) go by it.
Andddd a dude died in her house before we bought it. Of an infected toenail...

Lol, @EagleWife. I just caught up on the thread and saw your comment and was all excited. Picture me bouncing up and down seated on my bed, mentally raising my hand saying "it was me!" ha ha. I was scrolling to the end to tag you to share I had said that- and there was your comment.
I was freaked out. I grew up in a really old house in a small New England town where I often had weird/unexplainable occurrences. I learned that if I said out loud "I acknowledge your presence, I respect you, and you are scaring me so please don't show yourself to me" they would usually stop.

I'd check her room, but hope it was just her grandma, or one of her great grandmas, great grandpas, or great aunts.
