Benefits of Having a December Baby!

in December 2014 Moms

1. Tax Deduction - 1 month or less of baby expenses and a full years worth of tax deduction

2. Our third trimester will be spent in the cooler Fall months

3. The baby will be 6 months in May, and that is the magic age for when they can start wearing sunscreen (according my pediatrician anyway).  Which means they can participate more in summer activities like trips to the beach!

And for me, Sagitarrius is the last fire sign I need to complete the trio.

    the benefits of cooler weather for the 3T WITHOUT having to stumble around in the snow/ice/general frozen wasteland/snowpocalypse time of year with my ungainly form, or being due in the middle of it.

    @ChelseaMari‌ out of pocket and non stress test. I got the beetus with DD so I had to go 3 times a week for the last month there till I went into labor. That's a lot of dr. visits! I'm hoping they will be covered under well check. My friend had a baby 1 month ago and she has to pay out 5k because her insurance and deductibles reset at the beginning of the year. She's sad panda right now.

    My due date is a week after my birthday and I feel the same way.  Also, even though I do not believe in astrology, I've always through it was pretty cool to be a Sagittarian-- we are a lot of fun! ;)

    Just want to thank all the ladies on this thread for such awesome things to be thankful for-- I was originally hoping for a January baby but after reading this thread I'm SO excited...we have both a family deductible and coinsurance that we'll definitely have cleared by December.   

    p.s. I also have already looked at birth announcements that are also Christmas cards. Happy to share favorites if anybody is interested.

    first trimester in spring- my bloated ass can start wearing maxi skirts and then sundresses while i'm slogging through the "you just look like you've eaten too many donuts" phase.  

    telling moms on mother's day- i hadn't even realized that!  what a great idea!
    BFP 4/3/14, EDD 12/12/14.  Excitedly expecting our first!  It's a GIRL!

    Off BCP since July 2012, TTC since cycles returned in May 2013.

    I did a Christmas/Birth announcement for my November baby lol. We just take a while to get things done. We did them on shutterfly, just added in the birth info. They came out great. Definitely a good idea.

    better you than me.  ha!  DS was due a little over a week after my birthday in 2010 and everyone kept saying, "wouldn't it be cool if he came on your birthday?"  yup, can't imagine anything i'd rather be doing on my birthday besides pushing a watermelon through a hole the size of a coffee can.  lol.  lucky for me, he came much earlier than that, so he was just over a week old on my birthday.

    though, while i wouldn't share your sentiments, it's cool that you feel that way.

    Maternity leave over the holidays when no one wants to be working anyway!

    This doesn't really apply to most of you but I get to be on maternity leave for tax season woohoo!!! No 60-70 hr workweeks  :D

    My company sells tax-based software.  i TOTALLY understand the appeal of this!  DD was born on april 10.  that was a fabulous, fabulous spring! :)

    Oh you guys all suck haha I live in Australia so everything is opposite :( so I get the pleasure of dealing with a newborn in good ole Aussie summer :/ Mind you I was pregnant with my last during summer and that was seriously horrible to deal with but how am I going to be able to snuggle with my baby when it s a million degrees :( best I get DP to get me air con I think :)
