    In the past three months we've purchased and had delivered a king sized bed and a sectional.

    We tipped them each ten dollars the first time they were here with the bed.

    The same exact guys came back and did an awesome job putting the sectional together. They remembered us and went over every single tiny detail of this damn couch before they left.

    You'd think there was zero to know about a couch other than "sit your ass here", but no. I learned so much.


    Oh and hi, I'm lurking from TTGP. ::runs back to TTGP in fear of rejection::

    I also look at it as, you tip the people that bring you food, right?

    These delivery men/women are carrying heavier loads and are conducting a more physically taxing job and probably don't make great money.

    Me neither. We just have crap furniture. But with 7 kids it would be pointless to have anything nice. They climb all over everything like freaking monkeys.

    Depends on how big of a pain in the ass it is for them once they arrive to get everything inside and set up. I'll normally offer up something to drink if it takes them a while or if they go out of their way to do something special, but delivery people actually get paid from their boss to deliver shit.

    We did tip the furniture people last night we bought new furniture. They had to put stuff together too, so we wanted to tip them.

    I usually tip furniture delivery people.  There have been times when I didn't have any cash on me and I felt bad for days. 

    I don't know what the official thing to do is, but my mother always has, so I guess that's why I do it too.

    It's going to be beautiful out today, it's a very easy delivery, just walking in the door and putting it down and it's only one piece. It'll probably take them 5 minutes tops and I've already paid extra for delivery plus I have no cash and don't feel like going out of my way to get some, lazy.

    With the landslide of the poll and the aforementioned details, I think I'll skip and not feel bad.
