Eczema!! Go away!!

Hello!

I just wanted to share real quick something useful I found to help control my LO's ezcema, in case someone is struggling and would like to try something new! My LO's doc gave us a small sample of Cetaphil specifically for ezcema (it says it on the bottle) and it's worked wonders for us. There is a bath wash and lotion.

I've tried a lot of different lotions including just regular cetaphil but this one has worked out amazingly! My LO had it bad on her back but it's honestly 100% better. We also did a short 3 day treatment with a cream the doc sent home but since the cetaphil I haven't had to use it any more.

Hope someone finds this useful!

:)

Re: Eczema!! Go away!!

  • I thought I found the magic cure a few weeks ago and my LO was doing so well and then he woke up Wednesday morning with another bad flare up. Sigh :(

  • We have been using the cetaphil soap and it then applying aveeno baby eczema lotion. It's working so far!
  • That's what happened here too @Asbromle‌

Yeah my doc told me to keep the steroid cream for emergencies or flare ups.

At least some relief is better than none!

I think I have plenty now to last her at least 6mos or more.  The recent prescription we got came in 2 tubs...plus they called in more of the original ointment instead of the antibiotic so we have another tube of that too.  While I hope she outgrows this soon...I also hope that stuff has a good shelf life after what was spent on it ;)
  • Awesome! We've also had good luck with Triple Cream (from the makers of Triple Paste) when it's on that line btw very dry skin and actual eczema. I will try the cetaphil!

  • Thanks for this! We have Cetaphil but it doesn't say anything about eczema. So far it has been helping a ton. I will have to look into the special bath products.
