I have a follow up with MFM to check if my placenta has decided to navigate away from my cervix or detached from the fibroid at 1:30 CST. The only reason I enjoy these appointments is because I get to see baby girl
I just had my biweekly appt and got some news I'm not thrilled about! 1. My BP was usually 110/60 and today it was 139/76 2. My baby boys HR usually 140-148 today 169! It's never been that high not even early on! 3. There was a lot of sugar in my urine but two weeks ago at 28wks I passed my GD Test! I had just eaten a bagel w cream cheese and jam about an hour before my appt. I didn't see my regular doctor and the one I saw didn't seem too worried after I told her what I ate she just said "you passed your Glucose test, Right!?!" Now I can't help but worry! Anyone else had a similar experience? She kept asking if I had cream cheese when I mentioned the bagel so I wonder why? There is only 2g sugar in my cream cheese! Ugh
Edit: I ate this same meal in the past before my appt and never had a sugar issue that's why I'm worried!
Had my 2 hour glucose test this morning (my office doesn't do a 1 hour) also got my rhogam shot. Hoping for no phone call Monday as that would be a sure-fire way to stress me out on my Hawaii vacation!
Had my check up with my OB and got DX with gestational hypertension looks like I will have weekly NST AFI visits, and will be induced between 37-39 weeks depending on my BP.
Had my monthly growth ultrasound. Guess we are continuing to kick the ass of any possible factors that would inhibit baby's growth - I'm 29w4d today, and baby ended up measuring 31w4d and weighs about 3 lbs 14 oz.
The best part - surprise intravaginal ultrasound! My placenta has been low lying, so I guess they decided to measure EXACTLY how far from my cervix it is (I guess in case I have a surprise vaginal delivery?). Apparently it's far enough away I could have a vaginal delivery... which is cool but there is a low chance of actually happening.
Bonus extra? The wand looked like a freaking penis. I've never had one of those probes look like a penis/dildo before, so maybe I've been looking at too many #cocksinsocks photos on Twitter, but I swear it looked like it had a flared head and everything.
Super extra bonus - this tech really dug the 3D photos too, and this time, not only did she try for a shot of the baby's face, she switched it up and went technicolor! Flesh colored alien baby!

Oh no! How did they diagnose you? Just BP or did they do blood work too?

Sorry to hear it - I have chronic hypertension, so let me know if you have any questions. Are they putting you on meds? Have you had several instances of higher bp?
@ElTrain5 They DX me with blood work, a 24hr urine, and for my last 2 appt my BP was high.
@chickpea912 Thank you I will keep that in mind. But no before I was pregnant I never had high blood pressure, it was only when I entered my 3d trimester that I started having blood pressure issues. My Dr said no meds for now, but they are going to take it one week at a time, so it may change at any point. Her biggest concern is that it may turn into pre-eclampsia.
Had my monthly today, everything looks good. He's head down, and his entire body is curled up on my right side. Explains a lot! Best part is because I'm low risk, they said I don't have to go every two weekks ! Once I hit 36 weeks I'll go every week, but until then I'm good, woo!
