February 2013 Moms

I need all the prayers, all the postive thoughts, and all the wine

Today, I am taking 34 seven year olds to Boston to go to the Museum of Science. It will be close to a 3 hour bus ride there and back. There will be ten parents with me, most of whom I don't know. I am lead on this trip because my colleague is....a first year teacher.  I will be grateful if everyone gets back alive, without relative injury. That's my only standard lol.

    Oh dear lord....

    Here you go!

I've been trying to get a giant wine picture to work for several minutes now and I can't. And I actually have to do work things!

Good luck friend! Sending you all the wine!

  • Also, we take our 6th graders to the Museum of Science - I think that's a lot and they're pretty easy to wrangle. I cannot even imagine bringing 2nd graders. Eek!

I would take 7 year olds in a heartbeat.  1st and 2nd graders are in that magical world where they are still basically innocent little kids but they are independent.

    Big kids scare me.
Yes! Same! Right now, I work with teen girls and they scare the poo out of me. So much sass and waaaaaay too wise beyond their years. Gimme the youngins!

The first year we did it I took one our boys with Asperger's in my group. The compassion and helpfulness of the other kids in the group was astounding.

Last year when we went I was 8 months pregnant and they were all looking out for me!

Big kids aren't so scary - I promise!

Good luck! Praying for a SAFE, educational and FUN day for all. I find that many large endeavors I do start to seem crazy and over ambitious as the event gets closer. Once the event is over, I am always glad that I put forth the extra effort. I hope you have a similar end result.
  • Good luck! :)
