LO is 3.5 months and I feel like when we're with her on the weekends we need to be very conscientious of her nap time and working our errands around that. When we do go out for errands or a family function I feel bad because we're disrupting her naps. Also it just seems like so many naps and so little playtime. Essentially, they just nap so much at this age. Is there a certain age where the naps seem to be less consuming of the day--maybe because they're consolidated or because they need less sleep during the day? Or where you feel like you got the hang of it so you're not so worried about venturing out with the baby?

Re: When Do Baby Naps Become More Consolidated?
Also? I try to not plan my days around their nap schedule. That may sound awful, and I know it works for a lot of people. However, with DS1, we just sort of went with it, and now he's 4 years old and has always just adapted so well to our not to rigid schedule.

Usually we wait for him to wake from his morning nap. We'll change him and feed him immediately, then we head out to get our shopping done, take the cat to the groomer, get the oil changed in the car, whatever is on the agenda for that weekend.
That way we're back home by the time he's ready to nap again. I always keep my Ergo with us just in case he starts to get fussy.
