UO #2: Spouse/SO edition

This may be a total bust, but I had a silly idea for a second UO thread today. For those of you who have spouses/SO that know you Bump, explain what an UO is, ask them for one, and post it here.

ETA: Also, if you don't want to ask your spouse/SO for one, but already know one they have, share that (inspired by @wasnotwas post).

Amazingly DH said he didn't think marajuana should be legalized. He thinks it should be de-criminalized but he doesn't want the least harmful illegal drug to be cocaine because then that's what kids will do to rebel.
This conversation was mind blowingly ridiculous and I disagreed vehemently over our eggs.

ETA: it is mind blowing because of how much pot he smoked when he was younger. Now I realize he was just trying to be an upper class suburban badass.

I don't even have to ask him...

He thinks drinking underage is ok, but smoking makes you a terrible person (I smoked *a lot* as a teen and didn't drink at all)

This. It got way too much for me but I also started to find it boring. It felt like the same thing was happening every time.

He also read the books or comics or whatever they were, and I think he liked them better. (He's not around at the moment so I can't confirm!)

My H thinks the opposite, we have many arguments over it. But he grew up with smoking and drugs being the norm, and the alcoholics were the real crazy ones as he puts it.

It's funny how personal experience molds opinion. His dad smoked(smokes) cigarettes and he thinks that is the absolute worst thing ever. He was a cool jock who went to a lot of drinking parties so he saw stoners as losers. Meanwhile, I was a cool jock who hung out with the loser stoners and didn't drink...It's a good thing we met well after high school

We are both pro-cab/DD for any aged drivers.

edit: drinkers, not drivers. We don't support underage drivers either

H says watching League of Legend matches compulsively on his computer is the same as any other guy watching basketball or football. It's just frowned on more because it is e-sports and not real sports.

I didn't even have to ask for that one because he says it all of the time.

My hubby feels the same way. Whenever i say anything hes like "where did you hear that the boards?" in a condescending tone. Meanwhile if the girl he shared an office with says something then her advice is the right way of doing things. Hmmm 1 girl vs the popular opinion on here? Id take the popular opinion on here before i take the advice of 1 chick. Then there are times where he does say "what do the girls on the board think?" lol I think he just has his balls twisted sometimes!

My DH thinks you all know everything. When I'm worried about something, he always asks 'what does the bump think?'

Stuck in quote box. My DH is the opposite. Every time we have an issue he says, "Quick! Ask the bump!" or "What do the bump ladies say??"

It's because of the millions of times I have had success with something I learned from you fabulous ladies and schooled DH on it. He is a fan.

Well, of course, but what I'm saying is alcohol can affect someone's life and those around them much sooner than smoking. Butttt it's not often that people drink as responsibly as we would like to think, especially underage drinkers.
