  • Sounds concerning, call labor and delivery and don't wait for your OB. better safe than sorry.

  • sounds like you should call the dr or head over to l&d. any contractions that don't stop when you change positions or drink water should be looked at.

  • Like others said, call your OB if you feel something is wrong.  But I was also going to ask if it could be gas?  I've had the menstrual cramp feeling off and on for awhile now, it kind of comes with the whole stomach getting huge thing.  But this AM I woke up with stronger cramps and back pain, it seemed to come and go every 1-2 minutes so it seemed to often for active labor already, it started spreading to my upper stomach and I realized it was gas.  With all the organs in funny positions now it feels different.  Anyway, a Gas-x, a heating pad and an hours rest and I felt much better.  I hope it's something simple for you and that you feel better soon!

  • I would head into labor and delivery. I've dealt with this in the past and turns out I was dealing with preterm labor at 25 weeks and my cervix was starting To dilate.

Not to be an alarmist, but better safe than sorry.

  • It could also be a UTI or bladder infection - either way it's a good idea to get checked out!

  • I ended up going to l&d last night because my cramping got alot worse and i started having contractions we were there for over 3 hours I found out my uti got significantly worse the antibiotics I was taking didn't do anything to treat the infection so my body was pretty much trying to go into survival mode to protect the baby but everything looks perfect with our little girl so no worrys there and luckily the contractions were irregular enough that they didnt need to intervene but im to watch very closely incase they come back with any sort of pattern to hopefully catch it before it changes my cervix anymore than it already is.
