  Yeah. The worst was reading the comments by people who have NO clue how Breastfeeding works. People who think you need to pump and dump if you have any alcohol at all, not realizing that it gets metabolized out of your milk at the same rate it gets metabolized out of you blood, so pumping and dumping is just a huge waste of milk.
  
  People who think you shouldn't drink at all ever if you breastfeed, instead of the more rational approaching of timing your drinks.
  
  And don't get me started on the people who thought it's gross that she was BFing in public!
  
  And what annoyed me about the story itself is that NO ONE actually verified what/how much this woman drank. As near as I can tell, the waitress called the cops based on empty glasses in front of the woman without knowing what was actually in them or whether she was even the one who drank them at all. Hell, when I was pregnant I still went out to the bars and drank virgin cocktails, which probably looked REALLY bad to strangers who didn't know they were booze-free. Then the police arrest the woman without even doing a breathalyzer to determine whether she was wen intoxicated at all??
  
  If it's true that she really only had two beers (and on a full stomach no less), while it's not ideal to nurse her baby afterward rather than waiting til right after the baby nursed to have a drink, I really don't think it qualifies as child endangerment.

  There was no law relating to alcohol and breastfeeding on the books that was violated.

  There was no evidence that she was intoxicated.

  It would have been illegla to get evidence she was intoxicated (breathalyzer, blood test, sobriety test, etc) because she was not violating any laws.
