What are your makeup go-tos?

So, I have a TON of makeup. Good makeup. Expensive makeup. But just too much of it.

In an effort to not have so much shit in general, I really want to get rid of it all, get some awesome basics, and then maybe a few eyeshadow palettes to change things up when I am feeling fancy.

Recommend to me all the things you love.

I need to do that as well. I am horrible for buying a bunch of stuff on a whim, and then never using it - makeup, hair product, skin products, etc.

My makeup staples (the ones I gravitate to on a daily basis) are:

- foundation or BB cream (depending on where I'm going/how much coverage I need)

- bronzer (because I am paler than pale)

- black and/or brown eyeliner

- mascara

- a few neutral eyeshadows (my pics are all mac: shroom, naked lunch, satin taupe, shadowy lady)

- a red lipstick (loving mac 'just a bite')

- a good neutral gloss

These are the products I use everyday:
Bare Minerals matte foundation as well as the concealer in Bisque
Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser
Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes love Natural Beauty and Tipsy
L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes
Clinique Bottom Lash mascara

I don't wear eyeshadow or eyeliner daily, but like to when going out at night.

I love Too Faced Natural Eyes palette. I have Naked 1 & 2 and like those as well.

Most of my every day makeup is Mary Kay and includes:

Foundation

Blush

eyeshadow

lip gloss or lipstick

For eyeliner, I like Sephora's liquid

For mascara, I change it up often. Right now I'm using something by Benefit.

All I use is concealer & mascara. I have all the other stuff for going out but I son't do it on a daily basis. Keeping it super simple over here.

I love a good concealer. I use foundation every day (Neutrogena) but I put concealer under my eyes - either The Balm brand that is also anti wrinkle (I'm old) OR Benefit Erase Paste.

For the weekends, I love L'Oreal Magic BB cream. It turns into powder on your face and covers great, but is less than my every day concealer, foundation, powder routine.

Other than, I'm like you and have way too much makeup and should probably do a purge myself too.

I have Naked 1&2, and they are always effing sold out of 3, love UD eyeliners, and up until now, I usually use stila all in one foundation/concealer.
I picked up benefit Big Easy for face, fake up for concealer, one of their blushes, they're real mascara, and stay don't stray eyeshadow primer. I may have gone a little benefit crazy.

I love Benefit. And I love the names of their products. I love Monistat Anti-chafing gel for my primer. Plus I can use it to keep my thighs from rubbing together in the summer. This was a must have the summer I was PG. Foundation I use Clinique, but I have used benefit too. I have an Almay eye shadow palette that I like for everyday. I love Benefit's Erase Paste for concealer. Clinique mascara.

I use Mabelline instant age rewind The Lifter as my foundation and primer
covergirl trublend mineral powder
covergirl lashblast volume (LOVE this mascara brush)
I also use the Mabelline New York instant age rewind dark circle eraser
I think my eye liner is just something cheap, and my eye shadows are rimmel maybe.
for lips i go to various brands of lip glosses or lip stains
I have some blush...but I forgot the brand. Revlon maybe.

I just bought a new make up brush set and I'm looking to go big on getting some new makeup and stuff.

After working in the salon industry for so long, I have figured out what is worth the splurge to me and what isn't. Most stuff isn't.

What I use everyday:

Urban Decay eye shadow. It's the only "high end" stuff I buy anymore because it's such fantastic quality.

Urban Decay primer: makes even cheap eye shadow stay put all day and all night.

Rimmel foundation & Scandeleyes Mascara. It's better than Benefit They're Real. Seriously. And for $6.99 it's a bargain.

e.l.f all over color stick in Pink Lemonade. It's blush, it's highlighter, it's lipstick.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. NARS Orgasm dupe. Can't tell the difference between the 2.

Benefit brow buddies (something like that....) it's a brow filler in thingy.

Lipstick/stain/whatever is overwhelming. I have 14 different ones in my purse alone. Everyday is an adventure with lip color.

Oh, I love make-up! DH is damn lucky there isn't a sephora near me or I would buy all the things.

I use:
Stilla CC cream- I love this! It isn't heavy and I can get away with wearing it alone when my skin is behaving.
bare minerals original foundation
Clinique blush in aglow. seriously the best!
Laura Mercier caviar stick eye color
Maybelline line stiletto eye liner
Still looking for my favorite mascara. Right now I use benefit they're real
bite Agave lip mask- this is ok. I wish it lasted longer though

I didn't realize that she had used some brow filler. I thought she was repeatedly brushing my eyebrows because they were unruly.

Later last night, I went to wash my face, and patted my face dry on a nice clean towel H had JUST hung.

Maybelline Full n' Soft mascara in waterproof <-I've used this forever

I use Arbonne bronzer/blush which lasts forever and you only use a tiny bit for a big affect
