My DS has never worn real shoes before, so I have no clue what shoe size to get him. I saw this pair of shoes that I must get him, but I don't know approximately where to start. I'd like to get a bit bigger than he currently is so that he can grow into them.

  • SS over here.  He hasn't started wearing "size" shoes.  He has two pairs of Pedipeds that are 6-12m size and they're still big.  He got mom's feet.

  • He fits into the 4.5 crib shoe hand-me-downs we have. I'm sure he is really a size 5, but the only size 5's we have are for walkers and I want his arches to develop a little before he gets into those

  • she has 4's and 5's that fit her. I tried putting her feet in 3's the other day, and no way she was getting her feet in them. She's got some big feet like mommy.

  • He fits well in 3. We just got some 4s and he swims in them. Daycare likes is to have shoes to put him in for when they go outside. We don't use them at home unless we go outside and it's really cold or something.

B has really big feet -even from birth. Have no idea what size shoe since he doesn't own any but he is growing out of 12-18 month socks and is barely in that size for clothes...footed pjs are a nightmare with this kid

They were hand-me-downs, so I don't know for sure that it's still true, but the 18 month footed pjs I have from The Children's Place have much bigger feet than any others I have.

Who knows? He only wears socks. No shoes here until he starts walking on his own.
  • My LO wears a 3 or a 4 depending on what store they come from. Since switching him to a convertible car seat he has to wear shoes at all times when we leave the house. The crazy cold temps we have been having are way too cold for just socks. When he was in his bucket seat he rarely if ever wore shoes because we covered him wit a blanket. He also never wears shoes inside the house (not that anyone does around here) I find they really get in his way when trying to crawl or stand.

Other than some cute fuzzy snow boots for pictures, my LO doesn't wear shoes.  I actually don't like the look of shoes on babies who aren't walking.  I hate shoes and shoe shopping though so that's probably why.  Other than my running shoes, I have like three pairs that I wear.
I agree! I thought I was so weird because I just don't care about baby shoes or buying them - even shoes for me! Also, I work with an occupational therapist at an elementary school and she mentioned that really, for baby's healthy foot/leg/walking development, shoes are a no no until 2. But, DC requires shoes after 1/when they are walking so I won't win that battle.

  • 2s are still too big for Joshers

I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.

  • Daycare requires that he have 2 pairs of shoes (indoor & outdoor). I had him fitted and one foot is a 2.5 and the other is a 3. He has 3.5's for his outdoor shoes and wears 6-12 robeez for his indoor pair.
