Post pregnancy cravings

I'm ashamed to say I woke up and made a Digiorno pizza for breakfast :\">

I feel like I have more cravings now than I did when I was pregnant. Anyone else feeling like this?

Re: Post pregnancy cravings

  • I lurk mostly but I wanted to say that my cravings are out of control. While pregnant I never really craved anythin or had an outrageous appitite but now I crave sweets and anything greasy and I can not put the fork down. Never gonna lose this baby weight. I blame breastfeeding for my increase in appitite!!

  • Yes definitely craving more sweets and sugar now! I find myself always debating whether or not to bake cookies for myself
  • I'm just ravenous all the time. I woke up almost in pain at 2am because I was so hungry.

  • I really had no cravings whole pregnant, but now...holy crap. I can't control myself...mostly sugary things too!
  • I just crave all the food. What ever it is, I want it now.
  • Cadbury mini eggs...all of them. It got so bad that I had to sneak out and replace a bag so my husband wouldn't notice that I polished off the last bag
  • Same here. Chocolate. Lots of it. And no cravings while expecting either.
  • I ate an unhealthy amount of Costco muffins- but now they are out of the house and I'm transitioning back into my plant heavy diet... Thank goodness.

But other than that, coffee: don't know if that's more of a craving or a necessity. ;)

  • Nutella. All. The. Time. Nutella with animal crackers, Nutella with fresh strawberries, Nutella and pretzels. All good. I think my brain is convinced that since I make myself a spinich salad for lunch that I can go to town on the Nutella for dessert. I need to cut it out or I will also not be able to lose the baby weight. But I heart it
    And then there were three...

  • Yes totally love SWEETS too! I tried a new dessert recipe yesterday & I love it. I made a yummy cookie/brownie dessert. In a pan, I put chocolate chip cookie dough (premade store bought) on the bottom, then put a layer of Oreos on top of it, then put brownie mix from a box on top of it. Then topped it all off with crushed Oreos. I baked it at 350 for 1 hour. Yum!
  • I'm hungry all the time. I was so sick while pregnant, that I had no real cravings. Now I was Pepsi and candy all the time. Thankfully, I don't give in.

About 9 or 10pm every night, I have an uncontrollable craving for chocolate! And never have any in the house :( I keep telling myself to get some while I'm out the next day but don't because baby brain, still. Also craving cheddar rice cakes and crunchy Cheetos!

I know what I'll be making tomorrow!
That sounds amazing! So you just make the brownies like normal but pour them on top of the cookies? And did you crumble the Oreos? And, yes, I realize I am taking this much too seriously :)
  • Ice cream, Hershey's kisses, cupcakes... I'm noticing a theme here.

Oh, and spicy sweet chili Doritos with sour cream.
  • Sweets addict here, too! BF makes me sooo hungry!
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!

    Mom to Lily and Colin!

Oh me too! I don't even eat it with anything...just a spoon!

Yup I made the brownie mix like normal out of the box, and then just poured it over the WHOLE Oreo cookies. I guess you could use any cookies you want too. I did crumble the Oreos on top. The recipe I found said to use a 8x8 size pan, but I think I'll use a slightly bigger pan next time because it came out really tall & thick. I guess a bigger pan won't need to bake as long. Give it a try & adjust to your taste.

  • Diet Coke. And I'm jealous of all you ladies with cravings still. Nothing tastes good anymore!! Food was AMAZING when I was pregnant - I mean, toast was a freaking work of genius!! Now, meh - it all tastes meh. Even stuff I loved pre-pregnancy. I get ravenous, too, but eating is just not exciting anymore. :((
I have the same apathy towards food now which is frustrating! I used to LOVE food and that was definitely better. My DH gets super frustrated too because I was always very opinionated on what we would eat and now when he asks, he never gets an answer.  He doesn't know what to do with himself when he's not being told something specific.

This was me with the peanut m n m's, and the entire chocolate cake I bought for the other halves birthday - was super yummy though so feel no guilt
