Random thoughts?

My random thoughts for today: I had my hair cut and colored. (yay!). I snuck a peek at the stylist's cheat sheet with my color formula and stuff and she had a note that said "25% gray!!!" (Abundance of exclamation points hers, not mine.). Sigh.

And a shake your head story: I have a pair of leopard print ballet flats from Banana Republic. (They must be tasteful if from BR, right? Right?). The semi-retired guy who office shares with us commented on my shoes today. He imagines himself a silver fox, but really he's like a pleasantly lecherous teddy bear. He noted that the only piece of leopard print clothing he owns is his leopard print thong. An image I did not need. Sigh again.

Random thought: I can't find a nude or red lipstick that looks good on me and I'm through spending money searching. I'm also craving a root beer float like crazy.

Hahahhaah, @Kate_C that is hilarious-slash-disgusting about the thong.

I'm pretty self-satisfied over the fact that I"ve been on a new schedule this week and last that is working really well for us -- I get on the road a little earlier than usual, which means I get in early, which means I leave early.

Once I get home, I immediately start prepping dinner (whatever I didn't do the night before or that morning), and reload the coffee pot and tidy up... once DH gets home, while dinner is actually cooking, I pack both our lunches for the next day and prep the next night's dinners (a few days at a time if I can)... I have LO in his high chair eating while I do this, so he's ready for playtime on the floor while WE eat, and then I do all the dishes quickly while DH takes care of LO...

And then we have a bath, books, bed.. and I collapse.

Random #2 -- I"m having coffee with the CMO of TGT in the morning and I have no idea whta to wear. We went casual dress, so I don't know if he'll be in jeans or a suit, and I'm too pregnant (and by pregnant I mean bloated/ fat) for any of my suits. Maybe a dress and leggings and flats???

Have you tried the RiRi Woo from Mac? It's a limited edition, but it fills in the blanks of the other reds. Here's a picture of me wearing it.

Try the MAC magnetic nude lip glass I had a hard time finding nude and now I love it!

Can I wear a black romper under my graduation robe? We have to wear black and this is my third time graduating (1 undergrad and 2 graduate) and I was so serious the last two times. Is that childish/ ratchet? LOL!! I typed ratchet!!

On LO's birthday my husband made a nice little speech thanking me for the past year, and he gave me a gift. It was really sweet. Then he announced he is ready for another baby (it was just the two of us, not like he said this in front of a crowd). Lo and behold, two days later my pp fiiiiinally returned. Funny timing, I thought.

I went with jeans and a suit jacket and heels... which was perfect, because mr big man rolled in wearing jeans and a grey sweatshirt. Guess he's truly embracing the new dress code. It went great - he's SUPER unpretentious and very engaging. And it was nice to just leave the hous ethis morning at 6 AM and not have to do the morning bottle/diaper/clothes/diaper/daycare routine - DH did it this morning since I had to be in early. I feel like I've been here forever!

Random thought that you may already know...if you save all your old containers from MAC and take them in (I think you just need 5 or 6) then you get a free lipstick.

@Kate_C... on a semi-related note that you will appreciate, our "final" trial for my Trial Ad. class next week is a sexual harassment in the workplace case. Maybe the silver fox can make a guest appearance!

He actually teaches a trial advocacy class at a local law school... And I do really like the guy. I'm sure if I had actually been offended by the comment, he would have apologized. I'm not easily offended though!
