can't take it anymore!

Anya is still getting up three or four times a night for feeding. I try to pat her back a bit, and soothe her but she won't have it. Sometimes she will wake up an hour and a half after she eats! During the day she hits for hours no problem. I am exhausted.

Any advice on how to get her to sleep more. I don't mind one or two times a night feeding, but I need some sleep.

I am the same. Hes three months today and wakes up every hour to feed with just one 3 hour stretch at the beginning. I feel your pain.

I'm with you. M didn't really sleep until 2 am last night. I basically got 3 hrs of sleep. This is torture.

I'm right there too. I'm exhausted and now getting sick. Two hours on the dot and he's up hungry.

I've just started this. LO was sleeping 6-8 hours straight for a month but now he is sleeping 2 hour spurts all night. It doesn't seem like a growth spurt but I'm not sure why he switched. It makes for a loooong night

No advice, but I feel your pain. At 6 months DD1 was still getting up 2-4 times a night, and would take up to 2 hours to get back down. At 6 months we did some ferber, which helped get her down to 1-2 times a night.

Yup our lo gives us max 3 hour stretches. Last night was the first night she did one 5 hour stretch. I pray we are turning a corner!

You said she sleeps during the day. Could her days and nights still be mixed up? Also, have you tried doing more frequent feedings in the hours leading up to bedtime? His last couple feedings are usually only about 2 hours apart at night before bed so I can tank him up...

Right now my LO is 15 weeks and we are hitting the dreaded 4MW so most of my usual tricks to get her to sleep long stretches are failing because she needs more calories but gets too bored while eating during the day.

She wears a gown with her swaddle. We swaddle one arm now as we are trying to deswaddle. We give baths right before bed every other night. And she sleeps in the same place for naps and night unless we are out. I just don't know how much she is getting during the day since I bf. I wonder if that is the issue

Perhaps try swaddling both arms again & see if that makes a difference? She may just not be ready to let go of her comfy swaddle yet.

Edit: saved too soon - you can always go back to trying to de-swaddle after a little while.

oh yes! White noise really helped us, esp when I combined with the swaddle. DS has been slowly sleeping longer & longer ever since. He is apparently a much lighter sleeper than DS1 ever was, but I can tell he is making little improvements with that too since starting day care.

Didn't have you similar issues with your DS? Or was he a good sleeper? What did you do then? Why are you trying to deswaddle right now?

Try to Swaddle both arms in tonight to see if deswaddling is the issue. I am too nervous to deswaddle my LO and he's almost 5 months old. I tried the one arm thing and he was up every 2 hours. I'm thinking about getting Merlin magic sleepsuit. Also what PPs said, give your LO more food during the day. Try pumping and bottle feeding?

I play quiet music via my iPod and Jambox at night. I also give her a bottle (3oz) then BF her after that so she is nice and full for the long night. Good luck!

DS1's 4MW lasted from 3.5 months to 6.5 months and included waking almost every hour most nights. We tried everything and eventually he started sleeping again. DS2 has been a pretty difficult nighttime sleeper since day 1 also. What finally worked for us was a 3oz bottle an hour before bed, then at bedtime we put him in the magic sleepsuit, turn on the white noise, I nurse him and give him gas drops. He usually wakes a few times within the first two hours of being put to sleep so my H goes in and soothes him. Then after those dicey 2 hours he usually has three 3 hour stretches. Prior to our current routine we were getting 1-2 hour stretches of sleep all night long.

No my son was ff and slept much better. She is up all night if we swaddle her grunting and squirming. So we leave one are out. She likes to suck her thumb at night in her paci falls out.
