Long Time No See!

Hey Ladies!

It been a couple of weeks (ok, like 4-6 weeks) since I've been on our board!  I used to check the bump while pumping, and when I was no longer pumping I'd check it while eating lunch.  But recently I've been spending my lunch break talking to Day Care Centers (we finally picked one) and dreaming on Zillow (we're hoping to put our house on the market in May and move closer to work so we can get rid of our 1 hour 15 minute commute each way).

So I just wanted to check in and see what was going on and what I missed!  Looks like there's some new Social Group thing - that's weird!  AND I'm not even going to acknowledge the weekly weight loss check-ins.

Researching DCs and houses has me a little stressed out!  Not to mention trying to get our house ready to be put on the market, and trying to convince DD to cut out the after work BF session (my RE won't let me start treatments until she's weaned, and I see no end in sight anytime soon!).

Well, I hope everyone is doing well.  I'm going to go through and be THAT PERSON who replies to posts fashionably late!

Got pregnant on our own without Fertility Treatments - January 2016!  Thank you snow storm Jonas!
EDD 10/15/16
At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid.  Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth.  If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP.  My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!

  • Hey! Sounds like you have been busy! Good luck with the house stuff! The board has been quiet lately so glad you are back! :)

  • Thanks!  I really love our house and don't want to leave it.  But the commute has gotten to be too much for us.  Espchally with both of us working.  So it's sort of bitter sweet.  The housing market is much much more expensive closer to work, so I know we're going to be spending MORE money for much much less of a house.  But I think having a short commute will really give us more family time together.  It was a hard decision to make, with lots of tears from me (did I mention I love my house).  But I've come to realize spending time with my family is more important than spending close to 3 hours a day in a car!

  • Welcome back! Glad you found a DC provider. I'm sure that's incredibly stressful.

My DH has a dreadful commute too. We're only 20 miles from D.C. But it takes 90 minutes to 2 hours for him. We also can't wait to get out of our crappy house, @CourtandNate

  • @SJandVA - I hear you about the traffic!  We commute to Baltimore MD from southern PA.  Although its not DC traffic, we do have to deal with alot of the Baltimore floks trying to get to DC!  Our commute used to be 45 minutes ... but after being there for 8 years, it now takes us 1 hour 15 minutes (on a good day)!  I'm soooo over it!
