Anyone vaginally deliver baby B first?

Just had my 36w appt and my doctor proclaimed I was a fingertip dilated because it felt like the boys are fighting for the "coming out first" spot. It had never crossed my mind that this could happen, so I was wondering if any of you lovely MoMs have had A come out second with a vaginal birth?

Re: Anyone vaginally deliver baby B first?

  • I remember some jockeying for position when I was pregnant but by the end Baby A was clearly positioned to come first. I think by definition that Baby B would become Baby A if he came out first.

I wonder if it's a sign that your boys are going to be super competitive? :)

    Good luck to you!

  • Had my 36 week appointment today too. Didn't check the cervix today, but had an ultrasound and my babies are freakin' huge! Mine are also both head down, positioned right next to each other. She said depending on what happens, it may eventually be a c-section because neither might budge.

  • My B was A until he became magic man and did some impossible moves and flips during labor and decided to pull a Chris Angle in there and flip flop with Cayden. He was engaged but then backed it up and flipped head up then back to head down three times while my former b (now a) was delivered. It was really cool to watch in ultrasound as A came out who should of been B.
