Your pump?

Hey ladies, I just found out my insurance will cover 90% of any non-hospital grade pump.  Any suggestions for a working, pumping mom?

Re: Your pump?

  • I have a Medela double electric pump that was covered through insurance. I've had no problems with it
  • I'm not working, but I also have the medela double electric.  It's great!

  • I have a hygeia enjoye, which I can't say enough good things about. I had a medela for my first and it was okay, but I like this one much more. Aetna covered the cost entirely so it might be available to you too.

This. My only complaint is that it's a bit loud. In sure the people who sit close to the room I'm in can hear it.

  • I got the hygeia enjoye and so far so good for me. I've only been using it at home, but will use it for work once I go back. It's hospital grade and was covered by my inurance.

I got the Hygeia Q and have been pleasantly surprised. That said, the pump I had with DS was *spectacular* - it was a PJs Comfort pump sold by a company called Limerick. Unfortunately, my insurance wouldn't cover it this time because it wasn't sold by one of their chosen DME providers. I'd highly suggest you look at the PJs.
