Travel highchair - which one?

My sister sometimes has us for lunch or dinner on the weekend, but she does not have a highchair. I'm thinking a travel high chair would be useful, for her house and other similar situations. I don't want to spend a lot of money so I was looking at something like this travel booster seat : https://www.amazon.com/The-First-Years-On-The-Go-Booster/dp/B004GCJN6K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1395882574&sr=8-3&keywords=Travel+booster

Other option is one of those hook on seats. More expensive but I'm wondering if it's worth it since it's more sturdy and I know DD will be able to reach the table: https://www.amazon.com/Chicco-Caddy-Hook-Chair-Red/dp/B000A7V1EM/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1395883223&sr=1-2&keywords=hook+on+high+chair

I cannot decide so I'm hoping the June ladies have some insight. Will I regret if I go with the cheaper option?

  • @Steamboat1679‌ it's good to know you like it because that's the brand on Canadian Amazon. Can you put a placemat or tray under the clips?

  • We used the chicco one in a restaraunt a couple days ago and really liked it!

  • We have the Chicco chair as well.  I actually found it at a kid's resale still in the freakin' box - so I scored it for $7!  But it is awesome.  We use it all the time.

  • We use the Ciao portable high chair.  It's like a camping chair for babies.  So far it's been fantastic.

Another vote for the Chicco.  LO doesn't exactly belly-up to the table, but it's a great option.  If you have an extendable table it may be a tight fit, so save your receipt in case it doesn't work.
  • I vote chicco if you could actually get it for that price ;)

I find my booster annoying to lug around and strap under chairs. It's similar to the fisher price space saver and it's too big.

I've been thinking about a hook on and found a summer infant one that I am thinking about. It has a tray like the 360 so I like that in case the table she's sitting at seems dirty. I'm also wondering if it will work at a picnic table because we plan to camp a lot this summer.

    Ok that was long
