My rock is starting to move. She goes backwards on her belly but she's moving! We haven't baby proofed much (we are moving in 2.5 weeks). But she's so cute moving around w her dookie bootie sticking up in the air
My rock baby is trying really hard to break the rock cycle. She wants to move but still can't. She figured out sitting but has to be put there and she can fall over to her belly like a champ. She gets up on all fours and scoots her legs up under her but goes not understand she has to move her arms. She just manages scooting backwards a bit.
The house is fairly baby proofed. Who knows if she will go to college, bit she is determined to not be a rock so no I will not be carrying her.
Pt is going great. Everyone is impressed with what she can do. We also started OT. She is a bit behind in gross motor and really behind in fine motor. We attribute that to her tiny hands. Not too worried since I know she will figure everything out in her own time. I have more time to enjoy her being a baby.
Ben is nine months tomorrow. He sits unassisted but can't get there without help. He can roll, scoot backwards and he's gotten his knees under him a few times.
He's in pt, so well just continue with his therapists recommendations.
She sits like a champ, if we put her down that way and the same for standing. She reaches for things to the point of toppling over but gets so pissed. She only rolls while sleeping now. Kid just wants to be sitting or held. When she is on her tummy she humps the floor now... So maybe there's hope? No baby proofing or pt as of yet.

We're also moving, and have a semi-mobile rock, but she's a rock who rolls! No way does she want to spend any longer on her belly than absolutely necessary. But she just figured out she can roll over more than once to get somewhere she wants to go...
My rock is still sitting and reaching. He hasn't rolled back to tummy yet. He is starting to bear more weight on his legs when held up off our laps so that's a good sign. House is already baby proofed from DS1, but we will have to close the baby gates more when LO starts moving (which will hopefully be before college ). I'm actually fine with his rock status--he stays where I put him!
She is now sitting up if I place her sitting up. She has sat up on her own twice. I think she gets that she should be able to get from A to B by some means other than rolling, but hasn't figured out how. Her little boyfriend needs to stop showing off. No pt.
By baby proofing, do you mean planting the 2 and 4 year old in the same room with strict instructions to keep her alive and keep small objects away from her?
Re: The rock life.. Gangsta meeting
Baby-proofing is for responsible parents. We prefer to be borderline negligent.
My little rock will definitely be getting carried to college. He will be in my right arm and Tom-Baby will be in my left.
No PT, but I'm getting worried.

Oh, that isn't what baby proofing entails?
