Daycare/ nap update

First -- thanks for all the feedback the other day. It reassured me that many kids are on different schedules at home than at daycare.

I didn't really bring it up to them... I thought I"d just mention that we were having a tough time at night for the past few days, and see what the did.  He's also been teething quite a bit so I mentioned that to the head teacher. 

Last night was AWFUL - we napped him right away when he got home, and he slept about an hour and woke up screaming. So I got him up and we tried to have play time / books / bottles, etc, but he'd just scream and scream, huge tears running down his face, and while in my arms would start arching and kicking! I have not seen him like that for ages, since he had bad reflux as a newborn.

I put him down to sleep around 8 PM after calming him down and lots of rocking and snuggles and lullabyes... he fell asleep and slept straight through the night,and this morning and all day was his normal charming self.  

He only had one nap at daycare AGAIN today, but later than usual -- but was happy happy happy all night - lots of table food, play time, a bath, books, snuggles, a bottle and bed a little early (7:30).  

SO - fingers crossed that tomorrow is the same.  And if so, I THINK the moral of the story is that it wasn't a nap issue at all, but those nasty molars / incisors breaking through and giving him lots of pain!

    Poor guy! Have you tried Hyland's teething tablets? I think those help DS. They have them at Target. We also do ibuprofen on bad nights.

    OMG,I totally forgot about those until now, but we have had good luck with them in the past and i Have some on hand... forgot to add that last night I gave him advil before bed -- big fan... he didn't seem like he needed it tonight so I didn't give him any (hope I don't live to regret that!)
