Home alone !!!

DH is out of town till tomorrow eve . I can't stand it to be alone in the house over night , plus doing it all by myself . Even my teenage daughter walks around the house with bright red eyes pretending not to cry..... I am trying to hide my insecurity. But you see. I don't seem to manage very well. Anyone else so insecure when DH goes away ??

    I am the same way. DH once worked a job that had him out until 2-3 am, and I hated it. I'm a big wimp and I get anxiety about being alone after dark, so I understand how you feel. Good luck, I hope it goes better than you're expecting.

    At my hospital, SO was not allowed to stay over night when DD was born. I had to take care of DD alone all night when she was a day old. I was hella insecure, but after that night..It brought a sense of confidence that I can do it by myself. You're gonna be fine and feel more confident after.

    Is it him being gone in general, or being alone with the baby that stresses you out?

    DH just got back last week from being away for a month.  It sucks, but I get used to it. We have two big dogs that would scare the pants off of most people. 
    To be honest I love having our bedroom to myself sometimes.  Then I don't have to worry about waking DH up or being woken by his tossing and turning.

    It is mostly because of being "alone" with DD... Also I will have to get the other kids ready for school in time in the morning . Usually DH makes sure to be home till 8 to help along in case DD needs nursing at the same time. Now I am in bed , wide awake and can't sleep because I worry that DD may wake up any second for a feed

    I can't handle H being gone either. DH works until 11 every night which isn't late but it still freaks me out. He used to work until 2am which was way worse. Hopefully your anxiety will get better as the night goes on!

    I'm on week 2 of being alone as my SO has been traveling and we'll be alone for about a month.  The day flies by because there's so much to do. It sucks because if I need to go out, I have to plan it the day before.  DS drinks BM so I have to make sure I have a few bottles to take with and the few outings we've had, he's had several meltdowns (yup, that was fun!). I have to do serious food shopping and am happy I can do that online.
