  She doesn't really point to them, but we haven't tried that yet. She'll start out singing the ABCs though, does that count?

   

  Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.

  Ok good, I'm glad I'm not the only one! He recognizes letters as letters, but has no idea which ones are which.

  
  

  @hibiscus29 - Exact same situation here. He sees a sign and yells "M! N! Z! I! H!" So I correct him, but he doesn't care, he likes to say the letters that he likes. I was wondering if accuracy was important yet, lol.

  Totally this. I try and work with her on recognizing shapes and colors. Not even attempting the ABCs yet. We do read ABC books and sing the song but she's given no indication she knows any letters.

  I'll point them out during bathtime with the foam letters but they're all "E's" for them.

  I havent really tried this yet. She knows the sight of letters but not which one is which but i learned this week she calls letters ABs which i love lol. Ive been more focused on body parts and animals

  She doesn't know her ABC's yet but she does know almost all the characters in her Star Wars ABC book.. Does that count?
