  Here's the thing. If Mr. Vals and I went out to dinner with Finn and Mr. Vals had some drinks and was acting boisterous, no one would bat an eye.

  Also, I'm disappointed with the article's commentary on the dangers of having >1 drink in an evening while breastfeeding. Obviously outdated advice aimed at restricting the personal freedom of breastfeeding women.

  I love they arrested her presumably because she was too intoxicated to take care of her baby/make the decision to breast feed, but didn't do a breathalizer because she wasn't driving. If you are saying someone is endangering someone else due to alcohol, maybe you should use the tools at your disposal to prove or disprove that claim.

  Most of the comments on this article make me feel stabby.  I have simultaneously breastfed and consumed a cocktail at the same time in public.  If anyone ever had the audacity to tell me to stop let alone call the cops there would be some serious fact-dropping about alcohol content in breast milk going on.

  My friend on FB posted this and was on the "why risk endangering your child?" stance (why risk BFing them after a drink or two). I was happy to see several people commented on her post that they had drank while BFing. I also posted that I had drank a beer while nursing because it takes time for the alcohol to enter the milk and it allotted me the most time between nursing sessions to enjoy a beer.
