Our house has been on the market 36 hours and we already have an accepted offer. I have 6 weeks to find a rental that will take 2 dogs and hopefully be in the school district we want for Brody to go to for 4K. Oh, and that will give also us a month-to-month lease while we're building.

I might be freaking out a little (in a good way, though!)

Our agent got it on MLS late Monday night, we had two people look at it yesterday and had an offer, above asking price by the time we woke up this morning. We had 5 more people look at it today and none were interested enough to compete, so we accepted the first offer. We're feeling very lucky. And now crossing our fingers that nothing crazy shows up at inspection...

Awesome! That is the best kind of housing problem

Your school district might accept the address of the house you are building with a signed contract. When I worked for a home builder, we used to write letters for people all the time so they could enroll their kids in the school of the new home.

@HMP1 - Ironically, we actually want to send him to 4K in the district we live today, not the district we're building. The daycare he has gone to since he was born has a partnership w/ the 4K school in our current district to pick up / drop off. So he can still attend the daycare in the afternoons and I only have to drop off / pick up in one place. I'm just making our housing problem more complicated.
