Not too interested in nursing

Hi ladies. My LO is 10.5 mos old. He is EBF (doesn't even drink from a bottle). The past few weeks have been more and more difficult. He nurses good first thing in the morning and then before bed. I do two other feedings a day but I'm lucky if he will eat more than a few minutes. He has solids 3 meals a day and I nurse him before he eats so that he gets bm first, but I'm concerned he isn't getting all the nutrients he needs since he doesn't nurse much during the day.

What is typical at this age? He just started teething 2 weeks ago which may be contributing. Any ideas? TIA

Re: Not too interested in nursing

  • is your LO getting distracted by other things around him? you may need to make a point of nursing him in a quiet, darkened room with too much other stimulation. kellymom has some good info on this.

  • Thanks. I'll take a look. He definitely could be distracted. It seems like everything distracts him lately... The wall, the fan, the ceiling, my hair, lol.
